Now that the Holiday season is over, it is time to stash away all the goodies. For bareMinerals, some of the highlights from the previous season were Light Show, Vision in Velvet, and Night Vision. Time to make room for Remix, Spring 2013’s collection that is filled with high-fidelity colors and vibrant out of the box makeup.
Starting the set off are the READY Eyeshadow 4.0. There are two in this collection, a harmony of warms and cools, with one being The Next Big Thing and the other being The Wild Thing. The packaging is super clean in its shiny metallic light blue case. As known by the brand, there are anti-aging benefits along with reducing eye puffiness with the use of these eyeshadows.
I love the color of the packaging compared to last year. There is a sleekness to the blue. If you haven’t seen the press yet, it is available here.
The colors featured in The Next Big Thing are (counter-clock wise):
-Rising Star: Sunlit Gold
-Hoopla: Glowing Copper
-Ensemble: Smoky Plum
-Smash Hit: Vibrant Peach
For The Wild Thing colors include (also counter-clock wise):
-Sensational: Iridescent Aqua
-Elitist: Bronzed Taupe
-Controversy: Deep Marine Blue
-Icon: Electric Chartreuse
When swatched, each color has intense color payoff with easy application. Texture is very silky. Besides seeing full spectrum vibrant colors, the shadows also ranges from ultra smooth mattes to radiant shimmers that highlight the lids of the eyes. As mentioned before, these quads suit the best of both worlds with one being warm tone and the other cool tone. You can pick either tone that matches your mood on the day, or even mix them up for maximum fun.
After applying on eyeshadow, what about the lashes? Nothing ups the glam factor more than luscious well defined lashes. Well BareMinerals has got the whole package including 2 mascaras. One of them being a good for every day use black color and the other a sporty electric blue. As always, the mascaras do not smudge, flake, or clump, instead they are able to condition and revitalize the lashes.
READY Blush The Natural High is a rosy red color with a flush of pink, sorta like a berry. It is nicely pigmented and long lasting. There is a blast of the brands SeaNutritive Mineral that is turbo charged (or super charged?) with the rich sea minerals. Well most bareMinerals products hold anti-aging and other beneficial ingredients to make us look pretty in the long run.
On the left side is the blush heavily swatched, and next to it is the color evenly swept on using the brush included. The subtle gold shimmer really brings out the natural glow of the skin.
bareMinerals has brought two other great powders this season, one being the Bronzing Mineral Veil Finishing Powder Broad Spectrum and the other is Secret Radiance All-Over Face Color. The veil is obviously a bronzer as for the other is a complexion booster for year round shine.
The jar was actually fun to play with. After twist off the cap, you will need to pull the tab connecting the seal off to reveal 4 holes. So with the mess-free design, you can either “swirl, tap, buff” to your heart’s content, or turning the sifter to the closed position so that all holes are blocked making the powder safe and sound inside.
The bronzing veil is shown to the left and the complexion booster to the right. They are soft and light, almost melting on the skin effortlessly while enhancing the overall appearance.
Next we have the Loud & Clear Lip Sheers. For the season there is a total of 3 colors of which they are Amped Pink, Tangerine Trance and Berry Remix. Without going into too much details about the color since it is apparent which is which, let’s look at some behind the tube facts. Lips can be conditioned and moisturized with these without adding a blast of extreme color, hence the word Sheer. The conditioning and mositurizing comes from the shea butter and jojoba seed oils. These lip sheers are like jelly and melt easily on the lips.
Amped Pink (top), Tangerine Trance (middle) and Berry Remix (bottom)
Each color shines and glistens to light. They are translucent in appearance but after application each lip turns into a color that is unique only to the individual. The lips are highly moisturized and enhanced with juicy bursting color.
Last but not least, to complete the collection there is Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner in Midnight, which is swatched here.
Aside from the eye-catching light blue packaging, this season marks vibrant looking eye colors with electric shaded lashes along with sheer glossy lips. bareMinerals doesn’t stop it the colors, it also formulates each makeup product with skincare benefit ingredients to help us look younger, hence anti-aging. There is simply a full set that welcomes the spring ready to remix.
The collection can be found at Nordstrom, Ulta, select Macy’s, Dillard’s, bareMinerals boutiques and bareMinerals.com.

I really wished BM was available here. It seems to get more popular in blog land and I really love what I’m seeing so far! The light blue packaging looks fun and pretty!
BM is a really nice brand. Ever since the Holiday Collection I am excited for each release that will be coming out.
