Benefit Cabana Glama desTANation Makeup Kit Swatches and Review

Going off to Cabana or even the beach such as Hawaii and Tahiti are like settings of true relaxation. Speaking of which summer is right around the corner! That means travels and vacations are sooner than you think. The look for warm weather are usually tans and bronze looks. Benefit desTANation makeup kit has you covered.

An all in one kit for all your needs this summer is here! Cabana Glama from Benefit gives you everything from lips to eyes and more. It’s a greeting indeed!

There are photos of what seems like a vacation tour in a warm weather. If you look closely at the design of the kit and everything else, you might notice that it looks like what appears to be post card, envelope, and what not.

After opening the kit, you can see that everything you need is all included. That is right, you can head out to a quick vacation or a getaway without the bulky makeup needs. This kit has it all!

Hoola is the bronzing powder on the top right of the box. The brush for the bronzer is directly beneath it. Hoola is somewhat of a dark brown color which gives a nice little bronzing effect.

Posietint is the lower right lip product item in the box. It is poppy-pink in color giving the lips and cheeks a fresh tinted look.

Directly to the top left in the little record like box is the Some Kind-A Gorgeous in Medium. The record actually houses a foundation for medium complexions. It is in a creme like formula that goes on silky smooth and looks absolutely natural.

Last but not least, how can we forget about the eyeshadows and its double-ended sponge applicator? The eyeshadows from left to right is Peach Fizz, Bronze Buzz, and Cocoa Pizzazz. Each color gives off a warm beach kind of look.

In my first swatch as you see below includes everything but the eyeshadows. From left to right are Hoola, Posietint (without blending and blended), and Some Kind-A Gorgeous Medium. Hoola is a neutral toned healthy tan bronzer which means it doesn’t have the annoying orange tone to it like many bronzers do. It not only blends into the skin quite well, it makes tanning fun, of course no tanning bed needed. The color is matte and buildable. Posietint is a tinted poppy pink color for the cheeks and the lips. The color actually lasts super long, it even leaves a light stain when I tried to remove it with a makeup wipe. You’ll see it on the next swatch photo. Last but not least is Some Kind-A Gorgeous foundation in Medium. The formula on this foundation is creamy and lightweight that brings moisture locked into the skin. The coverage is sheer but good enough to even out skintone.

The second swatch photo featured below are the eyeshadows from left to right (Peach Fizz, Bronze Buzz, and Cocoa Pizzazz). Each color provides luminous glow and soft shine when light is reflected. Depending on which color(s) you pick, the eyes can be transformed from daytime look to nighttime look easily. All 3 shades are smooth in texture and quite pigmented with minimum to none shadow fallouts. The golden shimmers contained in all shades fall in line beautifully with everything else in the kit.

Cabana Glama colors remind me of a good beach tan with a bit of sexiness. The pinks in the kit makes a tanned person highlighted in areas of the eyes, cheeks and lips. Putting the kit on makes anyone ready for the beach while having a good time.

On an overall look, do the colors look boring? Is it just tanned colors?

The overall look is tanned and looks probably a bit more natural. It isn’t boring at all.
