BonBonCosmetics Deserves a Second Chance

Do you guys still remember the post, BonBonCosmetics Sucks!, that I wrote back in January this year? I wouldn’t go into too much details on the past experience. But rather recently on November 27, I received their apology email stating that something went wrong at that time; they’re willing to issue a full refund for my previous order or send me a $49.99 purchase coupon so I try them again and see that they have improved.

Being half skeptical, I accepted the coupon and made my purchase on December 3rd which is already Saturday in HongKong. So I only got their automated order confirmation email. This Monday which is the 6th, I got an email from their customer service saying the product is already on the way. And because of the glass container in nature, they’re afraid it may break during transit so they sent it via EMS with a tracking number!

On Wednesday morning (December 8th), my post office man knocked on my door with this. Both addresses were wiped out for privacy purpose.

On the side of the box, it marked “Fragile” and direction of “Up”.

Upon opening the box, first sight was the bubble wrap.

It was well padded and secured by the tapes.

See what’s inside!

Ta-da! MAQUillAGE MAQuillage 5th Anniversary Powder Celebration Set! And it’s soooooooo beautiful.

Another brief look at the loose powder. Stay tuned for more photos on my next post.

So let’s get back to BonBonCosmetics. I’m actually really impressed with this company now. I admit that there was some issue happened before, but past is past. All I can tell is that they really improved a lot NOW. They even spend time communicate with buyer on when and how the product was shipped. Also the product was well packaged for the maximum safety. The conclusion is that I’m very pleased with this purchase and I will go back in the near future too.

On a side note, this MAQUillAGE 5th Anniversary Powder Celebration set is truly a collector’s item. It’s in a very limited quantity. If you’re interested in getting the set, you better hurry up. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. As far as I know, BonBonCosmetics is the only online store that carries the set. Unless you got someone living in Japan, but still the shipping rate would be outrageous. Check them out!

Disclaimer: This store review was based on my honest personal experience. I was not paid from writing the post.

Oooh the Maquillage powder looks sooo pretty and luxurious 🙂 I’m glad that the company tried to make up for the bad experience you had earlier, I hate when stuff goes wrong with online transactions since there’s really no face to speak to about it :/

At least, the second time around things came in one piece! 🙂 I ordered an eyeshadow from Victoria’s Secret. All four orders (original and 3 replacement) came broken *sigh*. :/

That’s nice that they offered to make up for their mistake; I don’t think many companies will offer to go out of their way to do that. The powder looks beautiful! I wish it wasn’t so difficult to get your hands on in the US 🙁
