Burberry Light Glow Peony Blush No. 04

Today I want to show you my second part of my Burberry finds. It’s the Light Glow Bush in No. 04 Peony.

An airy lightweight blush that gives the skin a bright fresh glow. Burberry Natural Blush contains silicones for effortless and even application and wild rose extract for moisturising benefits. The complexion glows with natural looking radiance. Apply to the hollow of the cheeks to slim the face or apply to the cheek bone to highlight.. Part of the Burberry Glow collection. – Burberry website

The case is Burberry trademark check design, elegant yet classic.

It’s made by Inter Parfums, the same company that manufactures and distributes prestige perfumes and cosmetics such as Lanvin, Jimmy Choo, Van Cleef & Arpels, Paul Smith, and Quiksilver/Roxy. $42 for 7g and made in Italy.

The case has a magnetic closure. I almost had an accident with it. I put my other Burberry eyeshadows on top of it the other day and the magnetic field got screwed up and the case won’t close. Luckily it fixed itself after a minute. So be careful with it.

Also the blush is lightly rose scented. It doesn’t bother me though.

The blush compact comes with a soft natural brush.

The texture is very silky and the coverage is on the sheer side. The color is a beautiful, natural flush of pink. It only contains a minimum amount of shimmer which makes your face appear luminous and glowing from within. Though the powder is a little dusty it does not settle into my pores nor does it cake on me.

Flash on

Compare this to some of my other pink blushes, Lunasol Contrasting Cheeks 11 Coral Pink (L), Burberry Light Glow Peony (M) and Chanel Blush Duo Effect Tweed 10 Tweed Pink (R).

Lunasol 11 Coral Pink (top left), Burberry Peony (middle) and Chanel Tweed Pink (lower right). Burberry seems be a paler and cooler toned pink.

Swatched on tissue with natural lighting. Lunasol 11 Coral Pink (L), Burberry Peony (M) and Chanel Tweed Pink (R).

This is how the swatch looks like under sunlight. Hopefully you can see that, Peony has the least amount of shimmer among the three, next to Lunasol and Chanel Tweed Pink has the most amount.

In my opinion this is a very safe natural pink blush for light to medium skin tones. It can be lightly applied for a subtle flush of color or layered on for a more intense look.
