Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Moisturize Style and Protect Hair Set Review

Carol’s Daughter has got a set of hair products that are not only tasty in smell but also great for the hair. What’s more is the price isn’t that expensive either after seeing what value it brings to the table. The set is known as the Black Vanilla Moisturize, Style, and Protect Hair Set.

This special gift package from Carol’s Daughter is available online at www.carolsdaughter.com for $40.00, currently offering complementary shipping on all orders and 25% off post holiday sale until Jan 1, 2012.

The set includes the following products:

  • Black Vanilla Moisturizing Shampoo, 8 fl oz
  • Black Vanilla Moisturizing Conditioner, 8 fl oz
  • Black Vanilla Moisturizing Smoothie, 8 oz
  • Macadamia Heat Styling Hair Spray, 4 fl oz

Starting off, the Moisturizing Shampoo is a vanilla scented shampoo that reminds me of Madagascar Vanilla. It almost smells like creme brulee. The shampoo has a blend of Aloe Leaf Juice and Sweet Clover Extract which hydrate and richly moisturize the hair. Rose Extract is also included which boosts shine. The result is soft and natural shiny hair. This shampoo is perfect for normal to dry hair.

After I began using this shampoo, I felt my hair not only cleansed, but a lot more manageable with hydration. You could really feel the difference.

The conditioner in this series is for moisturizing and detangling unruly hair. After using the conditioner my hair feels much smoother with ease of brushing and styling. The Shea Butter and the Pro-vitamin B5 all play a factor in this where the hair becomes deeply moisturized along with strength. While conditioning your hair, the scent obviously is very sweet and pleasant.

The first time I saw the hair smoothie, I thought to myself that it couldn’t be that there is a smoothie for hair!? I only thought smoothies were for drinks. But as I thought hmm… it may do some magic. Upon opening the smoothie, the creme like consistency was a little thick but seemed like a real hair mask. After I applied a bit of it on my hair and waited for 7 minutes, I not only became hungrier but also felt my hair being deeply moisturized. It was the Shea Butter and Pro-vitamin B5 reacting. The smoothie actually absorbs quickly into the hair and I can feel the difference pretty much instantaneous. Be sure to use this once a week!

Last but not least, the Macadamia Heat Styling Hairspray is a hairspray that can withstand up to 450 degrees. This includes withstanding the heat from blow dryer, flat irons, curling irons, and more! The secret to this is the Macadamia Oil which builds a protective barrier against the high temperatures. There are also two other extracts included which are Honey and Henna. The extracts not only heal and seal split ends, it also seal down cuticle layers against damage.

After using this spray, I found that there was a trace of nuttiness to the scent which was refreshing. The hairspray is very lightweight, I didn’t notice my hair being weighed down or any residues at all. It blended in quite nicely with my hair.

Aside from the No Sulfates, No Parabens, No Petroleum, No Mineral Oil, and No Artificial Color promise, Carol’s Daughter brings a really pleasant and easy to use hair set from shampoo to styling spray. The whole system was packed into a gift set making sure your hair is pampered and protected. It’s everything you need with quality. After only days of use, you will see and feel the hair being moisturized and shiny, and it smells super yummy too.

I love how your blog also has a hair section. I would have never knew about this brand. I want their Chocolate Hair products. They even give a box of free Godivas.
