Chanel Les Jeans De Chanel Limited Edition Nail Polish Coco Blue Swatch and Review
Looking at the second bottle of nail polish from Chanel’s Les Jeans De Chanel collection, I felt like I’ve seen this color somewhere before. The lightly muted faded blue color really sparked my memory from some place or even somewhere…
Surely enough! It reminded me of my husband’s pair of faded Zegna jeans I bought for him years ago at Neiman Marcus. The name of the bottle is Chanel Coco Blue.
The description from the website:
“Part of LES JEANS DE CHANEL, the exclusive collection developed by Peter Philips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, in celebration of Fashion’s Night Out, Coco Blue is the ultimate in relaxed sophistication. This muted blue tone can be worn with the same effortlessness as a favorite pair of softly faded jeans.”
This limited edition bottle is sold on Chanel.com for $29.
Coco Blue is the only polish contains fine shimmers in the set. Due to this nature, it gives off a variety of colors that can come to mind. For example, icy blue, sky blue, light blue, or even baby blue! It looks somewhat close to Chanel’s Riva and RMK’s White Blue.
The polish is really a surprise to me, because for such a light color I initially thought it was going to be very sheer. But see how much coverage it gives with just one coat, and it doesn’t look streaky.
With two coats the nails are as opaque as it gets and the finish is ultra glossy even without the top coat. There was no brush marks as well.
Swatch seen with direct sunlight. Notice the soft shimmers scattered throughout the nails.
I took my Seche Vite topcoat and once again applied it onto the nails. It gives off a very gel like finish. I find the topcoat to be pretty much unnecessary when dealing with this polish. The formula for this polish is outstanding considering the consistency and dry time.
Here are two shots at different angles of sunlight. I really love the white shimmers on it, almost feel like moonlight on snow.
One thing I noticed about this bottle of polish is that once it becomes dry it’s rock hard with maximum glossiness. I remembered several seasons ago, some of Chanel’s polishes tend to give me the “fake dry” finish. I would thought my polish was dry and started doing things, bum there is a dent or smear. Not with Coco Blue! The formula with Chanel’s polish really did improve hugely. There is also no brush marks either! On top of that, the formula consists of fine shimmers that enhances the overall perception just like reinventing a pair of faded jeans. And the color itself is so chic, so modern. It’s pure love. No wonder it’s called, “Coco Blue.”

Oh wow Coco Blue is even prettier. I think this is the prettiest baby blue polish I’ve seen.
Indeed. If there were faded jeans with shimmers as decoration all over then it be really nice. It’s like sparkling while you walk especially under the sun.
I totally agree with you. This polish has great formula, I could almost get away with one coat.
I need this! The polish looks beautiful on you.
Thanks
I am surprised this polish is so pigmented. And the finish is so glossy.
It was unexpected. I thought initially Coco Blue was sheer.
i like this color so much more!!! the color is beautiful and i love the soft shimmers in sunlight =D
Haha, I kinda figured you would like this color more. Just like you said it is obviously a lighter blue but with shimmers that sparkle in the sunlight. It has more flavor to it.
How does this compare to Chanel’s Riva? It looks a bit similar in the bottle. I wonder if you can do a comparison post.
I will consider doing a comparison post. Have you subscribed to our mailing list? If the post comes out we will e-mail you!
I really love mine. Coco blue is my favorite out of the 3 polishes. I love everything shimmer.
This is such a pretty color! Very easy to apply, too. Some think it is too pale for fall/winter, but I think it will look awesome with a cozy sweater and favorite pair of jeans.
Now that’s style!
I don’t think this color will look good on my skintone but the color is pretty anyway.
Awww… shucks!
I love the subtle shimmer in this, so pretty.
Awww this is such a cute baby blue.
Coco blue is so pretty!
