Chanel Spring 2012 Blush Horizon de Chanel Soft Glow Blush Swatch and Review

I presented you the nail polishes from Chanel’s Spring 2012 line up yesterday which can be found here. Today, I will be bringing you the main star of Chanel’s Spring 2012 Printemps Collection which is the Blush Horizon de Chanel Soft Glow Blush. The blush is so gorgeous that it is like a canvas of the horizon from sunset.

The blush retails for $58.00 and can be bought at www.chanel.com.

Chanel’s Horizon looking design of pastel colors can be found as a preview on the front of the box. Something that gives you an idea of how it looks before you make the purchase. The net wt is 0.53 oz.

Once the box is opened, you discover 2 velvet plush pouches that stores the palette and the brush away from any damages or scratches that might otherwise occur.

After opening the palette, you see 8 strips of shades and gradients of the red / pink family. The brush is in a slanted shape made for easy application.

8 strips of colors consist 5 pink and peach tones that represent the sunset. There is also multiple styles of use on this palette. I will show you what they are where the swatch pictures are.

All of the 5 colors including white contains subtle shimmers, more or less. As you can see with direct sunlight, the color strips are very detailed with shimmers scattered around.

I have decided to give you the color line up of this palette. The 5 colors can be defined as seen below. FYI, at first I thought the 5th color was a spray on, but then realized it was actually a solid color.

So the multiple uses of this palette are defined as the following:

Blended Together – Sculpting and accentuating the natural contours of the face.

Peach Tone Only (top half) – Warm, sun-kissed glow.

Pink Shade Only (bottom half) – A fresh youthful flush.

Here is a close up of how the colors look all blended together creating the perfect harmony.

And here are each of the colors by itself. As you can see there are shimmers scattered throughout the shades. The 1st and 4th shades have the least amount of shimmers. While the 1st shade has pink shimmers and 2nd shade has silver shimmers, the other 3 shades have gold shimmers. Together they highlights and brightens up natural skin tone.

Chanel’s has done it again with this beautiful horizon blush for Spring. The color is perfect with multiple ways of use to achieving different looks. If you prefer, some of the shades can also be used as eyeshadows. The palette’s powders are very fine and the formula is made with high quality ingredients. The colors may look a bit intense in the pan, while blended together, it looks a lot more natural with a hint of glow. The love at first sight sure did not disappoint. These soft peachy pink colors really tell us that Spring is coming.

I just bought this at Neiman Marcus in Las Vegas and it is indeed very beautiful and very special. It is a gorgeous glowing pink when all colors are swirled together. Very flattering and feminine with a healthy flush. Can’t see how anyone wouldn’t like it. Go check it out FAST because this one’s a real winner.
