Chanel Summer 2011 Collection Les Fleurs D’Ete De Chanel Le Vernis 567 Beige Pétale

Not everyone likes bold and vibrant nails, sometimes we just want a very natural and almost invisible color to enhance our hands. Not to mention giving them a healthy look.

The final sibling to Mimosa and Morning Rose for Summer 2011 Les Fleurs D’Ete De Chanel collection is Beige Pétale! This pale rosy beige quickly gives us an impression of a light sheer color.

Looking at the packaging and the bottle everything is the same, square cap over round, ridged inner cap for spill-proof protection.

As you might notice this polish is really sheer. From the photo below it shows one coat on the left and two coats on the right. There’s barely any difference. Though it does look very glossy, as a matter of fact it’s the glossiest one out of the three.

Then we have three coats in natural lighting and under the flash. The difference is still minimal. I do love the flow-y consistency and the milky glossy finish.

So the question is how it will show up on the nail. Here we have the photo below. It actually did have some coverage and the color is true to the bottle, a delicate rosy beige. I have three coats on top of my thumb. You can definitely see the difference between the polish and my pinkish flesh. It even covers the white tip.

Let’s finish it off with two more swatches, the left is under direct sunlight and the right is just the nail with 3 coats under indoor lighting. Both are super glossy without top coat.

Beige Pétale is the most easy to wear and suitable for office environment in the collection. The formula is also the best out of the three. Since the coverage is sheer and the consistency is light, the application is almost fool-proof. You just can’t go wrong with this polish. It can be a quick pick me up all over color or it can be used as a classic french nail base. Either way it gives you a clean and well groomed appearance. But if you’re looking for full coverage opaque beige, this is not for you.

There are a million sheer colored nail polishes for sale on the market, Chanel always has the “it” color season over season. Not to mention its state-of-the-art formula which strengthens and moisturizes the nails.
