Some of you guys wanted to see more nail arts and thank you for letting me know. Though Christmas has already passed and I’m doing a Christmas themed nail art 3 days after Christmas seems weird. But I got good news for you, I have more giveaways already lined up. Hopefully I can do it monthly or quarterly to show my appreciation. I just noticed I hit 400 followers.
So yea back to today’s CotW. As the first step, I pre-painted the nails with green, white and red, Christmas colors!
Instead of nail polishes, I used gel this time. I happen to have ibd Tropical Waterfall, Day Dreams and Satin Kimono. They’re the closest green, white and red colors I can find.
I also pushed myself to another level by playing with some acrylics. This is my very first time doing it. I wanted to be able to shape the design as I wanted. The product I used is the ibd FLEX sample kit.
It’s a lot harder to do than it seemed on the nail magazines and books. This is what I came up with, a snowman, a Christmas tree and a bow tie.
It’d be better to have the colored acrylic powders but since I only have the pink and white, I had to color it with some paints afterwards.
For more bling bling, I added nail jewels on it. Now it looks much better than before.
So how do you think of my first acrylic nail art work? I know I probably even didn’t do it right and it looked ugly. At least I had fun and I hope you did too reading it. And don’t forget to join my holiday giveaway which ends this weekend.
