Color of the Week – Jill Stuart Topaz and Chanel Pulsion

I realized that my nails have been pretty boring lately, life’s been busy. So this weekend I forced myself to do a nail art design which was requested by Beautie Bugs. Again I picked up Jill Stuart nail polish Topaz because it’s the month of November. I also used Chanel’s holiday color Pulsion which I couldn’t resist after seeing my babe Georgina’s post. It’s such a beautiful shade. She has swatched it perfectly and I don’t think my redoing would be nearly as great as hers.

Bare nails with OPI Axxiúm Soak-Off Gel Lacquer Bubble Bath. I just did these on Friday so they still look pretty good, no gaps at the cuticle area. Talking about the OPI Axxiúm, I really fall in love with it. Now I understand why OPI gained its fame. It’s no kidding. The gel’s so easy to put on and take off and they last forever. It’s also great for changing nail polishes, I don’t have to worry about polish remover drying up my natural nails. I can do it whenever I want, even 20 times a day.

Two coats of Jill Stuart Topaz. See more pictures on my previous post.

After some painting and gluing…

These rhinestones last quite well on my nails. It’s been 3 days and none of them fall off yet, so much better than the ones I got at Target before.

Did you notice the lines look really neat this time?

The culprits are the craft brushes that I got from Daiso and Michael’s. The red and blue Loew-Cornell brushes are sable hair and they only costed 2 bucks each, a lot cheaper than the nail art brushes. The tweezer is also from Daiso, but it was very hard to use. I don’t recommend this for nail art.

The rhinestones! I used the bottom ones for the thumb and top ones for the flower design on the index.

Pa eternal nail sticker and dotting tools. The dotting tools are great for making nail art designs. I have yet to perfect that -_-

Updates on the giveaway, I’m still gathering the prizes at this moment but the date is already set at December 1. 🙂

Wow you did a great job in your nail art, very pretty. I love the lace but I haven’t seen such cute nail art in my local stores sadly. Thanks for telling us about the OPI Soak Off Polish Remover, sounds way more gentle than regular acetone so I’m going to check it out. ^^

This is the first time I’ve visited your new home 🙂 Your nails look so good, I wouldn’t have the steady hand or patience to do it myself! I can’t believe your collection of rhinestones and such, looks like you could do almost any design you put your mind to. I want to start trying new things on my nails but I don’t know where to start and I want to make it easy! ^_^
