COTW: Hello Kitty Frosted Cupcake with Born Pretty Fimo Nail Art

Hello Kitty Frosted Cupcake nail polish, adorable! I was at my beauty vault today and found this cutie still unopened along with a lot of other products. I feel so bad for having so much stuff untouched, unopened, unused, and possibly even forgotten!

Well in this post I actually wanted to feature Born Pretty, a specialty nail online store. I got contacted by them recently and was asked to feature one of their products which is their fimo nail art canes. For those of you that don’t know what that is, you will know in a bit. It’s actually pretty cool.

See the poor kitty was still factory sealed until today. Needless to say, the packaging is super Kawaii!!!

A lot of pink polishes tend to be sheer but Frosted Cupcake was actually not so bad. It has pretty good coverage with 2 coats. The formula is also great, it wasn’t too sticky nor liquid-y, just very easy to apply.

This is how the nail looks like with flash and in direct sunlight. It’s really close to the combination of Dior Icy Pink and Icy White. See swatches here.

Here we are! Born Pretty‘s Fimo canes for nail art. As you can see it’s bright with different colors! The packaging came with 100 canes.

There are so many different shapes, sizes, colors, and designs.

These are the cuter designs that I picked out to show. Notice the kitty, bear, rabbit, lemon, and flowers…

My favorite, Miss Bunny! She looks a little familiar with the bow on her ear, if you know what I mean …

So the canes are actually used for nail art. You take a sharp knife and slice a thin piece off just like what you see here.

Sometimes… unfortunately things can go wrong… but practice makes perfect! A good single edge blade also helps. If you get the whole package, it comes with the cutter. But mine was the fimo only.

Finally, what you do is apply the pieces on top of your nails using nail glue or clear top coat so you can make a design. *note the left photo is indoor lighting whereas the right is under the flash*.

Isn’t it super fun and easy? You can check out the Fimo Nail Art Canes from Born Pretty here. Be sure to use FRUITYLASHESJ31 for 10% off your purchase.

The fimo sticks add flavor on top of the nail designs / art which gives it a more 3D look.

I know but they don’t ship to France )=
So if I buy one polish plus shipping, it’s pretty expensive..
Too bad we don’t have them here.

Cute nail designs. I thought about buying the fimo sticks but I actually prefer bling. Honestly, I’ve given up on doing my nails. They are naked all the time.

Naked is natural! Just add some shine for healthy look!

The entire Fimo collection is nice overall. I mean you can cut a small piece each time and put it on your nails to add character and flavor. It’s like easy nail art!
