Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick 316 Incognito 339 Silhouette 536 Lucky 639 Riviera 789 Bellissima 987 Black Tie Swatches and Review (Updated with 476 Plaza Swatches)

If I could say one thing about Dior Addict Extreme, it would be, “OMG!” The cool factor went from the packaging all the way to after applying the lipstick. You can take a look at an example post from last year regarding the Dior Addict Lipsticks here.

Update (3/13/2012): 476 Plaza swatch and all 4 iconic shades comparison now added!

Aside from the outside box having the “Extreme” word on the front, the top flap is all in the color black. Something new for the lipstick line.

For the matching nail polishes from the collection please click here.

Not only has the packaging been revamped to look outstandingly elegant, it also looks very modern with a twist.

Each color looks very vibrant under the sun and the packaging simply looks amazingly gorgeous. The casing is in a pure black glossy finish with a silver band accent. The interior lipstick holder is still shiny silver as ever.

316 Incognito is a sophisticated natural nude color with beige tone.

339 Silhouette is a peach beige color.

536 Lucky is a bold dazzling pink shade that is inspired by Kate Moss, also named after Dior’s iconic model in 1950’s.

639 Riviera is a hybrid mix between peach and pink with a little red. It can also be seen as an electric version of coral.

789 Bellissima is a hot magenta pink that’s super bright and intense.

987 Black Tie looks a bit dark in the tube but don’t be scared. It is a rather wearable mauve toned wine color. See the swatch below.

While I swatched each of the colors of the lipstick, I noticed that the colors are really easy to apply on. It wasn’t just a smooth glide, it was the pigmentation with a radiant shine. The great thing about the entire series is the resistance to fade because of its long lasting formula. There are wax, radiant oils, and hyaluronic microspheres enclosed as ingredients. The feel on the lipsticks also provided much comfort due to those emollient agents and I did notice my lips becoming fuller after using the lipstick. Last but not least, it feels featherweight on the lips. Compare to the Dior Addict Lipsticks, the Dior Addict Extremes are more focused on color vibrancy and staying power. It may not have the lip balm kind of hydrating effect like some of the Dior Addict Lipsticks but it’s still very moisturizing and the color doesn’t fade for hours. With all the colors I normally have at least 5 to 6 hours wear time. And the whole time the color stayed true and radiant without drying out.

One thing I found quite nice was the melt away texture from these lipsticks. It is like chocolate in your mouth, once chocolate has melted it leaves a pleasant sweet after taste. Same thing, the Dior Addict Extreme Lipsticks after melting away on the lips provide enough pigmentation and color intensity for a long lasting effect. Each vibrant color shows off a luminous shine, the experience was mind blowing since last year’s Dior Addict.

These lipsticks can be purchased on www.sephora.com and they should be in your local counters soon.

Omg… these lipsticks look amazing – both packaging-wise and the colors. Also, from what I can see from your swatches, the finish seems to be really pretty too.

Totally can not wait to have these lipsticks checked out at the counter as soon as they arrived here. Thank you for your photos and swatches, Fruity!

OMG! I’ve been searching for swatches of these everywhere since I say them on Sephora online XD The color payoff looks amazing!! Now I have to select a shade that is good for everyday wear but also that I don’t have in my lippie collection hehe. I’m tempted to get Lucky ou Bellissima but I’m afraid that it’s too flashy for work =/

Lucky is a really nice shade. It is the iconic color for this entire set. Kate Moss sports it. I don’t think it’s that flashy, it’s rather nice. After an application it’s like an explosion of color coverage and pigmentation.

i just ordered lucky and plaza from sephora.com and i can’t wait to try lucky. your swatch of it is so beautiful. i liked the dior addict lipsticks because they were so smooth and moisturizing, but color payoff and lasting power were a little sad. so i’m super excited dior released these. thank you for swatching and reviewing them so quickly!
