Dior Addict Lipstick 465 Singulière Swatch and Short Review

The new Dior Addict Lipstick is not all about bold colors and high coverage. Yesterday I’ve shown you the very Glam shade of Red Carpet. Though after today’s Singuliere you will have a whole new look of the collection.

First of all let me show you some photos.

Dior Addict Lipstick 465 Singulière

On Dior’s website, it’s described as “An girly pink, in a sheer formula, for freshness and radiance.” Hmmm is it really sheer? First impression the color looks pretty solid to me. So I wonder, but for sure it’s a very pretty girly pink.

When swatched on tissue paper, I was almost shocked by how juicy it looks. Unlike Red Carpet’s high pigmentation, Singuliere is all glossy and shiny, and a bit wet.

Then I did a hand swatch, I came to realize how light and sheer the color really is. It did take several swirls to get the color show up. But once again I think Dior did a great job in describing it.

This is how it looks on me. Given the fact that it has a sheer finish, the color did somehow show through on my medium pigmented lips. It’s a cool toned bubblegum pink which indeed looks fresh and radiant.

Since I’ve already reviewed another Dior Addict Lipstick in Red Carpet yesterday, I’m not going to repeat myself for the similarities. Please refer to the post for more photos and details. I’m only going to talk about the unique facts about Singuliere.

– This is definitely a sheer lipstick with light coverage. It would look better on lighter pigmented lips.
– The texture is super soft and creamy, even more moisturizing than some of the lip balms. Though it does sink into the lip lines slightly. It’s not very noticeable from far away.
– It is easy to apply. There’s no need for a lip brush.
– The finish is very glossy and emollient. Even the lipstick itself melts by the body heat after application. So basically the lipstick stays that way on the lips, giving a shiny look.
– The staying power is about 4 to 5 hours, a little less than Red Carpet. But I think it’s still pretty good for a sheer lipstick.

I wish it was not so sheer or else it’d be perfect for me. I’m a sucker for pink lipsticks.
