Dior Addict Lipstick 545 Fire Swatch and Review

“Save the best for last.” Dior sure knows what that means. When the new Dior Addict lipsticks released this March, there was one particular color missing from the shelf just for the Summer release. It’s hot, it’s passionate, it’s sexy, it’s Fire!

Part of Dior 2011 summer makeup collection Electric Tropics, 545 Fire is the only lipstick in the collection and it’s a limited edition.

On the back of the tube it shows the number and the name, 545 FIRE.

Being the perfect match as Dior Aloha nail polish, fire is a really vibrant reddish orange or orange-y red, whichever you prefer.

There’s no visible shimmer at the first sight.

I just want to mention that when the lipstick is tracked all the way down, the tip is slightly taller than the metal casing. So be a little careful with it.

It looks even brighter under direct sunlight.

This is the swatch under indoor lighting. With just one swipe, I can tell and feel that the texture is super creamy and balm like. It goes on buttery smooth. Again without shimmer, the finish is glossy and totally glow-y.

The coverage is sheer to medium. I used a lip brush to even out the color on my slightly pigmented lips. But I don’t think anyone will have a problem with applying it evenly. Like all the Dior Addict lipsticks I tried, Fire is just as moisturizing and it feels heavenly.

This is what it looks in direct sunlight. It’s a bit more orange tone than natural indoor lighting.

– The color is a really flattering summer shade. It should work for most skin tones.
– The formula is light weight yet hydrating. It’s like a second skin that glides on super natural and effortless.
– It is light to medium coverage. First layer with light hand application gives a hint of color. But you can definitely kick up the heat by layering more.
– Even though it does not contain any shimmers, the glossy finish gives a lot of dimensions to the color. Or you can always add an additional layer of Dior gloss to glam it up.
– Staying power is about 3 to 4 hours which is pretty good for such a bright color.

– Being limited edition, once it’s gone it’s forever.

Oh, that’s such a beautiful color! Just the orange-y coral I’m looking for. I love that it’s supposed to be moisturizing, too.

    Great review!
This is such an awesome color! Have to get this one! Called several Dior stores in Hong Kong, and they only got 1 left @ TST Sogo and @ Elements! All sold out at other locations! How crazy is that! 🙂

i think the best place would be dior.com. i was lucky to snag one but most counters are sold out of it. good luck!

Thanks! Actually I went to get it right after I leave you the message, you know, good stuff can’t wait! LOL

Yes, I know. But sadly Dior.com.hk doesn’t provide a online purchase service, and so does MAC, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder etc.
        Oh what a bummer!:(

I wish I live in the US. 🙂

P.S. I think I’m gonna spend a few hours at here from now on since your blog is so great! 🙂

Oh I wish we can change our location for a day XD
Cuz my skintone is quite pale with a pink undertone,
and most Asian brands tend to look after yellow undertones,
therefore it makes me more of an Europe brand lover instead. 🙂

Surely! You’re so kind! My name’s Fiona, may I have the pleasure to know yours?

Cuz I wanna mention your blog in my youtube channel, and of course another reason is you’re so friendly, I wanna be friends with you! 🙂

P.S. If that’s too private, it’ok. I’m gonna call you Fruity sweetie, if that’s ok with you. 🙂
