Dior Backstage Brow Design Brow Shaping Stencils Kit Review
What more can a girl ask for when they want perfectly shaped brows? Dior has came out with a tool that can let us achieve such greatness! It is, Dior Backstage Brow Design Brow Shaping Stencils Kit.
The packaging comes in a signature Dior Backstage black box design.
2 x 1.2 g? I wonder what that means?
Ah the kit comes with 2 mini powder eyebrow pencil. I thought there was only stencils inside. Oh yes, great value!
Besides those, the kit also includes a folded booklet.
Instructions are written inside, along with a face chart showing the right way to do brows.
Here’s what everyone has been waiting for… the stencils in the jacket! Let’s take it out.
So the jacket is made of cardboard which holds them all together in tack.
When you take out the stencils you immediately notice that they are made of fine grade silicone with slots that help you shape your brows. So with one hand hold the stencils up to your brow and with the other you can draw the shape. These stencils are paper thin and very soft to the touch.
The eyebrow pencils come in two different colors. One being a lighter brown almost camel, whereas the other being true brown.
The two colors are 453 Sand and 653 Blonde. Though they’re mini brow pencils, they’re not that short. The colors should work for most skin tones (or rather brow tones).
The colors presented, top 453 Sand and bottom 653 Blond.
The end work after using these stencils should look like the model in front of the instructions book.
I have never played with one of these kits before, so when I heard about it, I know I gotta have it. Upon receiving them I felt an urge of curiosity to see what they were all about. The stencils are like guides that help me shape my brows when I draw them on. After drawing them on they are like perfectly symmetric to each other. It almost looks as if a professional did it. Because the stencil material is so soft it also kind of adheres to the skin, which makes the shaping enjoyable and fast like a breeze. I don’t need to measure angles and worry about if my two brows look the same anymore. Though I do need to wash it in between, the slippery silicone was pretty easy to clean. I’m also happy to see those 2 mini brow pencils. Years ago I bought a Dior brow pencil in brown, it was a tad dark for me. So these came in perfectly. With $29 for a full sized brow pencil, this set ($40) feels like a steal.
Woah my natural brows look NOTHING like those stencils O_ô mine are way slimmer and weirder looking xD Haha
Yea I know. I would never be brave enough to try a new brow shape. I’m scared I’ll mess up. But with these it seems fun to play.
thank you for this! I was very curious!
No problem, Brooke! I really love Dior’s recent releases. I want to try everything =x Bad bad me…
Fab idea! maintains all the shape you get from professional threading!
I’ve never tried threading, I think it’ll hurt lol. But I’m ok with tweezing.
I wish I could have the brows like the picture shows. Does it come out like that?
Oh yes! You just need to pick out the shape you like and start drawing. It’s pretty simple.
Thank you so much for the review. I was very curious about this set. I was thinking $40 was too expensive for some stencils but it does look really nice.
You’re welcome Tesse! I think the price tag was right, 2 eyebrow pencils alone would cost nearly that price, so I think it’s a good deal.
I remember seeing another brand Anastasia has something similar to this. How do you compare the two? I’m just curious. But this set lookss awesome!
I’ve never tried the Anastasia stencils, sorry.
I just discovered your website and love it. Thanks for the review. I was curious about this kit but wasn’t sure if I should order it. Now I know I just gotta have it.
Thanks for coming by, Pinkydoo. I’m glad my review was being helpful.
I always want refined and professional looking brows, these should be great.
Yes indeed. I want professional looking brows at home. This kit really does the job right.
I saw this kit at Sephora and grabbed it instantly. It looks easier than the Anastasia one. Did you also get the eyeliners?
Yes I did get the liners but I haven’t played with it yet. Will do a review soon.
This looks really interesting! How long does it take for you to finish your brows?
It really takes no time, I would assume 2-3 minutes? You do need to clean the stencil in between.
I think those pencils are nice!
These are actually pretty worth while and easy to use because of the guide.
