Fall sneaks up pretty fast this year. Weather has been ranging between cold and hot in extremes. But one thing is for sure, the colors for makeup are transforming slowly from bright emerald blues and tropical summer like colors down to a bit more toned down for fall. Let’s take a look at the lips from Dior Addict Extreme for Fall 2013!
Starting off the lipsticks from Dior Addict Extreme this year is 546 Gri Gri. Gri Gri is the lightest shade out of all 3. It is a highlighted version of a creme peach. Knowing the formula from the Extreme version from Dior Addict, it covers over the lips perfectly adding shine and color. Gri Gri is rather subtle but without a doubt quite hydrating on the lips while giving a healthy and radiant look.
619 Fortune (Nordstrom Exclusive) perhaps a color that brings good Fortune? After seeing this, I was reminded of Fortune Street, the color sorta reminds me of Princess Peach’s lip color. Although this color is a tad bit bolder than Gri Gri, the end result is fabulous. The lips look more defined, the color is a perfect creme like texture on the finish.
Lastly, 986 Bonne Aventure is the most dramatic one out of the trio. The color can be thought of as red wine, or dark cherry like. It is the most noticeable color with a more mature appeal. The finish on this lipstick after application is shown with a thin layer of glaze that reacts nicely with light.
For comparison here are all 3 of them side by side with Gri Gri on the bottom left, Fortune in the middle, and Bonne Aventure on the top right. And the swatches shown below from left to right are Gri Gri, Fortune and Bonne Aventure.
Dior Addict Extreme’s new lipsticks are not only packed with long lasting pigments, they also feel comfortable on the lips. The creamy texture glides on smoothly and evenly with just enough shine. The color stays on beautifully for hours without drying out. It’s like a set of second skin that enhances the original lip colors. Each one has its own uniqueness ranging from subtle and natural color to extremely bold. They are quite solid for a transitioning fall collection, besides the colors are so easy to wear from day to night. So why not?! For purchasing, they are available in August for $31.00 at Dior counters nationwide, Dior.com and Sephora.
