Dior Holiday 2011 Celebration Collection Makeup Palette For The Lips Swatch and Review

Each palette has its specialty and what it encompasses. Dior’s Holiday 2011 has 3 special palettes that target different areas. Our first installment was the palette only for the eyes which can be found here. Then there was one multi-look palette targeting the entire face from eyes to lips shown here. Finally, the last one I am going to show you is for lips only.

Thus begins Dior Holiday 2011 Celebration Collection Makeup Palette For The Lips.

This is outside packaging. One side of it is shiny silver and the other side shows the picture of the content.

Here is a quick preview of how the inside is going to look like. As you can see the colors are warm and bright. This collection is like the only one out their that I have seen a preview of the inside from the back of its box. I guess a picture is worth a thousand words?

The 4 shades in the palettes are: SPF 10 Lip Balm, Rouge Dior Lipstick #678, #365 and Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect #156. The lip balm is the same as the Multi-Look Palette one.

I got to admit, I love every instruction books that Dior put out now. They are in color and very easy to follow. When I hold them it feels a bit glossy as well instead of the newspaper touch from before. The instructions on this lip palette is really easy they break it up into steps 1 to 3.

The size of the case and the outside design is exactly the same as the palette for the eyes from this collection. With the design being grey and black, it’s almost like a designer clothing.

Opening up the case, we see the lip balm, 2 lip colors, and the gloss. Oh, and a double-sided brush! The colors range from reddish fuchsia to peachy orange which makes this lip set very festive during the season. Orange is great for Halloween because of the color of pumpkins. The fuchsia is a perfect contrast to the Christmas tree.

Here is an up close shot of the lip balm and the lip color #678. The fuchsia holds a subtle shimmer that glows with shine.

On the second half is the orange lip color #365 with the ultra gloss reflect #156. The gloss is perfect with either lip color.

Here is what everyone is waiting for, the swatch! Going from left to right are lip balm, 2 lip colors, and the gloss. Both lip colors and gloss are pigmented and easy to apply. All 4 shades have a nice glossy sheen including the lip balm. They also have a pleasant rose scent.

Dior’s lip color set is a must have for travelers and office ladies who want their lipsticks all in one so there are no more searching in the purse for lip related stuff. The orange contrasted to the fuchsia can be used on different occasions giving you an option on whether to use them separately or even mix them up. To further enhance these colors you also get the lip balm and the gloss. It’s so much easier now to just take out a palette for lips vs looking for 4 lip related stuff in the purse.

The swatches look so much prettier than they look in the pan. Now I’m intriguing.

I own 2 lipsticks from Dior and love them. So this palette may be a better option for me since I use them so often. And the packaging is just adorable.

Oh nice! I’m a big fan of Dior lipsticks myself. I also love the spf factor in the lip balm.

I’m not really a lip palette girl. I find I have to reapply during the day and don’t want to carry a palette with me. This one is soo cute though. I love the packaging and the colours are really vibrant.

The swatches are really pretty. I like the peachy orange shade a lot. I also want the nail polishes and lipsticks in the colleciton.

I don’t really spend a lot of money on lip stuff. Most of the time I’m Ok with a nude lipstick but I love this palette. The peachy orange is really cute and besides there is a lip balm I really wanted.
