Dior Lady Dior Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette Fards à Paupières Swatch and Review

Let’s go buy a red Lady Dior purse. It’s so classy and chic with the little Dior Charm hanging out. Oh and the handles have got to be blue. Dior has finally came out with a limited edition eyeshadow palette and it has everything I just mentioned! You’re saying… WHAT?! HOW?!

Well, after all it’s Dior and it’s ingenuity… you just need to use some imagination and creativity! It’s an artistic drawing embodied in an eyeshadow palette! Take a look at Lady Dior!

Large close up shot of the words Dior on the box.

The palette comes in a box with an outer sleeve.

The back of the sleeve has a list of ingredients.

After removing the sleeve, this is the box, kind of reminds me of the other limited edition palettes that came out later year and the year before.

Opening the box you can immediately see a drawing of the purse with the number signifying the limited edition. But what you really see is a booklet.

Taking out the booklet you see the palette directly underneath snugged warmly.

Underneath the palette, is the velour pouch.

…But that’s not all! There is also a brush for you to use!

The brush comes all new in a rubber / plastic cap covering its hair.

Looking back at the booklet, let’s go ahead and open it and see what’s inside.

Inside is the history of Lady Dior, the purse and how it came to be.

Here is a magnified version of the English side of the booklet.

The palette has 3 very distinct colors which is red, blue, and grey. Unfortunately, the silvery charm will disappear after use.

The labels on the back of the palette.

Here is an up close shot of the palette. As you might notice the details are extraordinary! It looks exactly like a purse from Dior’s boutique except this palette is a work of art!

A even closer look at the palette…

Here are the super high resolution close ups. Click to enlarge.

While I was using my fingers to swatch I decided to put the left overs on a napkin to show you the color on pure white. You have the following colors (from left to right): Gray, Blue, Red, and Silver Red (this was taken from the color of the Dior Charm).

While swatching it on my arm, I thought wow the colors are so pigmented. They are also very different in contrast too! The shadows are very smooth and easy to apply.

Here is the swatch under sunlight.

I took a more up close shot at gray and blue. Notice these shadows are actually not pure matte. They rather contain subtle sheen of sparkles which enhance the overall look and make the eyes more dimensional.

Time for my fingers! It’s almost like being in grade school where the teacher gives kids a lesson on finger painting. I felt like that when I was doing this review. Anyways, the colors are shown below from index finger to pinky with Gray, Blue, Red, and Silvery Red that’s mashed with the Dior Charm.

These are the same fingers with direct sunlight.

The next few pictures are a side-by-side comparison between indoor lighting (left) and sunlight (right).

…And finally we have the silvery red over the Dior charm.

Comparing to the previous limited edition Dior palettes (Left to Right), we have Lady Dior, Tailleur Bar, and Love Dior.

This limited edition palette really hit it out of the ball park. Whether it’s a creative artistic look or a unique eyeshadow palette, this is a must have for all Dior fans! Each box comes with the little booklet with a serial number which is both eye candy and collector’s item at the same time. The colors are highly wearable and versatile. I can totally use the three colors as shadows, or I can use the gray as an eyeliner and red as a blush.

Thanks for the swatches I was contemplating whether or not I wanted to buy this palette because of it’s price tag $$$$$. I guess it’s more of a collectors item than what it really is.
