Dior Les Rouges Collection 862 Icône Swatches and Review

Have you ever wondered how many different reds can be constructed in a set of 3 nail polishes that are at least worthwhile in collecting or even playing around with? Well look no further here is the last addition to Les Rouges from Dior! 862 Icone!

With a deep brownish red color, this bottle sure is different than the other two.

The polish is described on the website as:

“A subtle, pearly red-brown that pays tribute to Rouge Icone, a nail lacquer introduced in the Spring of 1955 to be paired with the striking ‘Atout Coeur’ dress.”

If you look closely there are once again shimmers inside the bottle which is really neat since if the bottle is hit by the light the color sparkles.

Here is a close up shot of the shimmers inside the bottle.

In the sun, the bottle of nail polish almost looks purplish burgundy red which gives it a deep cosmos look. It’s like, Icone is outta this world!

Here is another shot at a different angle.

We have a single coat on the left and a double coat on the right. As you might notice a single coat pretty much shows a more burgundy (maybe even magenta) red. A double coat gives us a more true to the description look which is a more brownish red look.

Shiny and glossy our nail polish delivers a nice shine.

Here is the look at a different angle of light setting.

With the sun melting away at the polish, we see the cosmos look I was talking about which is high shimmers and burgundy red giving a bling effect.

Yet a different angle of sunlight.

Dior’s Icone delivers a full blast look at how well the formula is constructed. With extra glossiness and rich end to end formula the coating is very even with a lot of shininess. The shimmers are an extra effect to make it look like outer space except without the black. Compared to the other 2 Les Rouges Trafalgar and Gruar, Icone has more visible shimmers which makes it a glaze of glamourous.
