Dior Makeup Summer 2012 Diorskin Nude Tan Nude Glow Sun Powder 002 Amber Swatches and Review

Summer is really around the corner now after I went out to the beach today. I have felt the heat and seen the sun. My hub’s palely white skin even turned a bit tan. Some of us don’t like the sun while some love it but sunscreen is splattered all over the face. The higher the SPF the better right?

Dior has come out with a bronzer that is so innovative that it not only adapts to our natural skintone, it also gives us a really gorgeous sunkissed glow on the skin.

The Diorskin Nude Tan Nude Glow Sun Powder that I will be showing you today is 002 Amber.

When I first got this powder I thought the packaging was huge. I immediately thought goody! That is because there is also a very nicely designed Kabuki Brush packed inside along with the palette.

According to the description on the back of the box, the powder can be used all year round for a healthy glow that looks radiance and energized.

After opening the box, there are two velvety soft pouches. The Kabuki Brush’s pouch is more like a cover where you could just pop out the brush.

The brushes hair is super soft and comfy upon touch. The holder is made with the same material as the palette pouch.

The bronzer comes in a sleek round silvery compact with brilliant metallic Dior signature Cannage design. It’s got a nice weight to it while looking extremely elegant.

Upon opening the bronzer, the powder has the word, “NUDE” embossed with canework imprint on the letters.

The mirror is made with light weight unbreakable plastic material in the full size on the cover. The Kabuki brush has a round top for picking up powder and even application. The size of the brush is also suited for on the go.

The formula in the sun powder is quite unique, there’re translucent pigments that adjust to skin’s color and mother of pearl for ultimate radiance. It is also enriched with sweet orange extract to boost skin cells energy. I decided to take a photo of the palette with flash to show you the fine shimmers scattered all throughout.

Here is a look at the powder in the sun. The powder looks exceptionally smooth and flawless to the eye.

Like I mentioned earlier the powder is able to adjust itself to fit perfectly to the skin’s color. ALMOST SCARY BUT COOL! The bronzer looks very natural and quite smooth upon application. There wasn’t a need to apply too much product because how easy and smooth it glides on. If you look at the photos below you could notice the shimmers but also at the same time the application evened out on the right side with the enclosed Kabuki brush. The life side shows a heavy swatch. Top photo represents a flash and bottom shows a sunlight photo.

Diorskin Nude Tan Nude Glow Sun Powder seems to be able to adapt to the skintone or color out there. The concept and the technology are very fashion forward and advanced. It really did give the skin a healthy sunkissed glow that looks super natural and flawless. The powder is so finely milled that it feels not only soft and smooth, it melts upon touching the skin. The shimmers also give the complexion a rather polished look.

The brush is the size of a Kabuki but a mini one!

I am loving this product I will be buying a back up. I went away last week and used this as well, and have never had so many compliments on how well I look. To me that is the sign of a good bronzer, no one said -you look brown!

I am a fairly light medium skintone and chose 005 Toffee. It says on the web three colours are for summer and three for all year, I would love to know which are which if anyone knows?

Anyway to sum up luxury from packaging to application, and the brush is a great mini kabuki as well !

Great review! I want to get this bronzer SO bad, but it’s not in my budget right now 🙁 I had just purchased a Bobbi Brown bronzer, now I have my eye on this one!

Thanks, Fruity! Hopefully they will still have some in stock. Unfortunately, there are never any events going on in my area. It will be at the top of my wish list 🙂
