Dior Nail Polish Anselm Reyle Collection 687 Ultra Violet 904 Untitled Black 072 Metallic Silver 667 Pink Graffiti Swatch and Review (Updated With 606 Electric Blue Swatches)

With bright neon like colors, Dior collaborates with German artist Anselm Reyle for the upcoming collection of 5 nail polishes and an eyeshadow palette. Today, I will be featuring 4 out of the 5 nail polishes (UPDATE AS OF 12/20/2011 Electric Blue is featured on the very bottom).

Anselm Reyle for Dior collection comes with 5 nail polishes (shown here are only 4) and will be available shortly on Dior.com.

The colors that I will be featuring today are 687 Ultra Violet, 904 Untitled Black, 072 Metallic Silver, and 667 Pink Graffiti. The one that is not shown is Electric Blue. Electric Blue is featured at the very end.

Out of the 4 colors, 3 of them have the same (or very similar) formulation of creme while the other one is a soft metallic. I’ll first show pictures of the polish bottle then follow with natural and sunlight swatches. All nails are done with 2 coats with top coat.

The first color on stage is Ultra Violet. A deep regal purple that comes across the breed of punkish and haute. This vibrant purple is so bold and striking, much different from the other spring purple color Forget-Me-Not.

Ultra Violet is a very typical Dior creme polish with sparse micro shimmers. The formula is nice and thin, extremely easy to work with. One coat is a tad shy but two coats will be completely opaque. The polish dries into a high shine glossy finish.

After putting my nails in direct sunlight, I found that the polish is indeed very well formulated. Not only is the color perfectly mixed, the glossy touch also adds a very vibrant look that will grab attention when strolling in the park.

I’ve been collecting nail polishes for years, but come to think of it I never had a pure black creme polish. I can’t even believe it myself. So I’m really happy to see this simple and “rare” (for me) color in the collection. It is probably one of the only color that is Gothic like.

Formula wise, it falls in the same category as awesome creme. The black color looks extremely dark and saturated with 2 coats application. It’s so glossy that the sparse shimmers are almost invisible.

I then take a second look at the color with direct sunlight. Under certain angle, I finally see the subtle shimmers flowing inside the deep onyx black river of polish.

Metallic Silver is a full shimmered silvery grey color that brings a space like design. It’s the only metallic polish out of the collection. The color looks similar to Graphite, but darker and less silvery.

Being a metallic polish in nature, the color spreads out every evenly with 2 coats. The pigmentation is even better than the rest of the 3 creme polishes, so if you’re time pressed you can get away with just one coat.

Under sunlight, the shimmers can be seen with hints of charcoal, and a few light pinkish colors. The finish might seem gritty on the pictures but quite on the opposite it feels super smooth to the touch.

Pink Graffiti is the last creme polish in the collection. The cute hot neon pink color will simply blow your mind away. It’s like a popstar.

With the same great formula, Pink Graffiti comes to complete opaque with 2 coats. The mirror-like glossy finish brings the neon pink to life.

Under sunlight, the color seems to be more neon, the flavored hot pink color is ready to rock.

606 Electric Blue is a very bright and vibrant blue in the creme finish.

In natural light setting, the blue is so rich and intense with high levels of glossiness.

I took two snapshots of this color under the direct sunlight. As you can see there’re subtle shimmers shown in the polish bottle. But on the nails the shimmers don’t show up unless under a certain angle. The formula is comparable to the rest of the collection. The swatches are done with 2 coats application.

Anselm Reyle for Dior collaboration features high quality formulated rockstar style nail polishes. The colors are so bright and neon like that you will feel the energy when you hit the streets. Compare to the soft pastel like colors from the spring collection, Anselm Reyle colors are a lot more intense and adventurous but I do wish they were also rose scented or even J’adore scented. I’m starting to really fall for it.

Every color appeals except for that metallic silver.

The purple polish seems to be the best out of all the colors. Black is too old. Nothing interesting about it.
