Dior Spring 2014 Rouge Dior Rose Crinoline Allegresse Dior Addict Gloss Petillante Exquise Swatches Review
The season’s hottest colors for the lips are here from Dior. Each color complements well with the nail polishes and coordinates well with the blush as well. The colors for the lipsticks are 774 Allegresse and 531 Rose Crinoline. For the lip glosses we have 442 Petillante and 772 Exquise. Each color expresses Spring in full bloom like colors of a floral garden.
The lipsticks remind me of roses, carnations, orchids, and anything floral related. These lippies like all Dior lipsticks are pigmented with flawless like structure and texture too. Finished with an embossed Dior Logo. If you look closely, you might notice that these colors are very coordinating with their counterparts, the lip glosses. Hold the lipstick up to the nose and find a rosy like scent as a finish to any application. These Rouge Dior lipsticks are enriched with marine crista, which smoothes and reshapes the lips, giving off the most expression as possible with each use.
Now for these lip smuckers, they are very different in the way that Exquise is gives off a very neon like look while Petillante is seemingly neutral and down but with shimmers. So each has its own characteristics but they both have their unique traits.
While swatching, I couldn’t help but give in to the rosy like scent I had mentioned earlier. The nose just wouldn’t stop detecting them. The lipstick formula is pretty much in tack with every Dior lipstick. Creamy like texture that covers the lips with a smooth iridescent finish, bold and heat detecting. Melted right on the skin for a flawless finish. The lip glosses stayed on the skin so soft and feathery yet moisturizing and comfortable.
As usual skin was prepped with Diorskin Nude Foundation 020 Light Beige and Loose Powder 001 Transparent Light. The first swatch shows each product swatches side by side. The second swatch set was a play on with the colors. The glosses were applied over the lipsticks to provide a various color combo. The top portion was Petillante and bottom was Exquise. As you can see, Rose Crinoline + Exquise (bottom left) was the most dramatic out of the four.
Dior’s lip products are daringly bold in color this season, but it could also be because Spring is when all the flowers come to life. Though, these colors are quite appropriate for Cupid’s day especially a great date night. Wearing these lip products define the lips to be more 3 dimensional that gives the lips a fuller look. So, you might get wandering eyes.
