Dior Summer Mix Collection Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Gold Sunrise, Pareo Orange, Pink Bikini, Red Cruise Swatches and Review
Dior’s Summer Mix Collection contains a set of nail polishes along with a set of Dior Addict Ultra Glosses. we have featured the nail polishes earlier this month where you can find the link here. Today, we will be focusing on the 4 Ultra Glosses.
Dior Addict Ultra Gloss for the Summer Mix Collection come in 2 shimmering glosses and 2 non-shimmering glosses. The shimmering ones are called Ultra-Gloss Flash and the non-shimmering ones are called Ultra-Gloss Glow. The Ultra-Gloss Flash is filled with ample amount of shimmer whereas the Ultra-Gloss Glow has a high shine finish almost like lacquer. Everything is packaged in the regular transparent Dior Addict Ultra Gloss tube and silvery box.
The 2 Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Flash are 224 Gold Sunrise (Or Sunrise) and 542 Pareo Orange (Orange Paréo). The 2 Ultra-Gloss Glow are 664 Pink Bikini (Rose Bikini) and 854 Red Cruise (Rouge Croisière.
224 Gold Sunrise looks like a sheer river with gold, silver, pink and green shimmers. The shimmers are so fine but they sparkle like gold in the desert. Note the photo below and the other 3 individual gloss photos were taken in direct sunlight.
542 Pareo Orange is a high coverage bright orange with multi-color shimmers but not as much as Gold Sunrise. It’s also one of the 3 ultra glosses in the Summer Croisette Collection, see the entire collection here.
Here is a swatch of both side by side. As you can see Gold Sunrise is much sheerer but more shimmery, so when you apply it on top of bare lips or other lipsticks it only adds a layer of sparkle instead of color. Pareo Orange on the other hand is more opaque, bringing an electrified look to the lips that is bright and summer appropriate.
For the Ultra-Glosses Glow, let’s start off with 664 Pink Bikini. It is a sorbet like hot pink color with no shimmer.
854 Red Cruise is a bold cherry red color that’s classy and timeless. Sporting this red on a summer cruise will sure get a lot of attention.
Both Pink Bikini and Red Cruise provide a medium to full coverage while reflecting a lacquer like high shine on the lips. The color also goes on super smooth and even which won’t set in lip lines.
Here is a full shot of the swatches taken with camera flash and in direct sunlight. As you can see, both Pink Bikini and Red Cruise out shine Gold Sunrise and Pareo Orange. They almost have a mirror like glossy finish and the colors are more pigmented as well.
So looking at the lip glosses one by one makes us want to dash to summer already, but it’s even better when matchy-matchy them with the nail polishes. Well, let’s take a look at how they stack up together!
Here is the final swatch picture which has the lip glosses on the bottom and the matching nail polishes on the top. Which matching set is your favorite?
Dior Summer Mix Collection brings a colorful approach with bold and bright colors that can easily catch eyes. The formula on the lip glosses is simply wonderful. The coverage ranges from sheer to full. Colors are hot and vibrant with a fun summer kick. The consistency is just right without feeling tacky or sticky. They are pretty long lasting too, with average 6+ hour wear time. When matched up with the nail polishes, everything indeed looks perfect.
Gold Sunrise and Pareo Orange is already available online at www.Dior.com. The rest will be in shortly.
