Dior’s Mitzah Collection held two colors that came in with their nail polish. Both colors are great for the jungle because of how camouflaged the colors really are. They are Dior Vernis in Camel and Ebony.
Packaging wise, the Mitzah Vernis duo share the same gold on black design as the Mitzah 5 Coluers Eyeshadow Palette. See Mitzah eye palette here.
Camel is a creamy camel color. It almost looks like a light roasted caramel syrup. I don’t think I ever own anything that’s close to it.
Under direct sunlight, you can tell there are some sparse shimmers inside. That’s what make Dior polish really unique and different from other brands.
Here’s a 1 coat swatch in indoor lighting. Coverage falls in between sheer and opaque. The consistency is really nice though, it goes so super smoothly.
With a 2 coat swatch the nails are immediately fully covered from end to end adding a glossiness to it. Pictured below is without top coat.
Adding a top coat on top the nails become a bit shinier than without top coat. It also makes the nails look more refined and polished. The color looks rich and creamy without showing visible shimmers.
In direct sunlight you can see that the nail color becomes a brighter camel and with a smooth solid gloss.
As you can notice within the bottle, the shimmers are scattered abundantly throughout.
With a single coat Ebony tends to be a bit on the sheer side without full coverage. It’s formula is also a bit lighter formula than most dark colors.
A double coat gives a perfect coverage with full of high gloss.
With a top coat Ebony transforms into a even glossier rich brown.
Once exposed to sunlight, Ebony immediately shows its sparse shimmers whether in the bottle of on the nails, especially the 2nd picture you can really see the shimmers on the nails. It’s the amount of exposure to the light that enhances the nail polish.
So I decided to create my little nail art of Mitzah. Have a look at the mix between the colors and the panther drawing. Fashion Polish also did her version of Mitzah Jungle nail art, see the post here.
Both colors are truly in line with the Mitzah collection because the color set are a match. Camel and Ebony both hold glossiness and creaminess in their formula. When you play with both for nail art reasons, you notice that both colors go really well together. Just make sure to double coat each polish for full coverage.
