Dior Vernis Spring 2014 Porcelaine Bouquet Bloom Swatches Review

If you’ve been following us on Instagram, you probably already spot one of these beautiful shades, Bouquet. Now it’s time to showcase them all on a full blog post. Along with the gorgeous Diorblush Trianon (swatch here), the spring collection also treats us with 3 limited edition nail polishes. Seen below are 204 Porcelaine the main color for the campaign visual, 457 Bouquet a soft innocent coral, and 777 a mature and elegant pink.

Dior Nail Polish Porcelaine Bouquet Bloom

Compare to the more muted 3 shades of last year’s Cherie Bow collection (swatches here), this year’s colors are more like a full blossom garden. The garden is full of roses, tulips, violets and all the flowers are neatly arranged in the clean looking baby blue pots. Translated into nail colors, no matter what personality you are, there will be at least one shade that will make your heart sing.

As you can tell from the instagram picture that I really liked Bouquet out of the 3. It’s one of the easiest to wear color for every skin tone and the subtle cream color really suit my mood that day. I rocked the shade for a couple of days and got many compliments. Then I had to remove it for the swatch post. At first I really didn’t care much about Bloom because the color looked a bit bold in the bottle. I would consider Porcelaine and Bouquet more spring friendly and save Bloom for summer. Once I put it on, my heart instantly melt. It’s such a pretty hot pink that looks 10 times prettier on the nails than in the bottle. It’s got a perfect balance of bold and sexiness without being over. And the shine and glossiness made my fingers look really polished. It’s just too pretty to be taken off. So I had to skip nail swatches for the other 2 shades for now. The number 777 did have a reason for it and I’m sure it’s going to be my lucky shade.

Instead we’re showing a paper swatch for the colors. See how much shine these polishes output, even it’s on a flat surface?! The formula is as always flawless. With 2 coats, they’re completely opaque, even, smooth and streak-free. It’s really easy to apply, just make the coats thin and wait until it dries before putting on a second. It’s not necessary for a top coat because they have a super glossy finish, but a good top coat like Electric Tropics Catwalk Duo top coat (swatch here.)

These are great colorful splash of nail colors for spring 2014 from Dior. They’re pretty on their own and complement for the entire look. The colors are bright and vivid that give off a cheerful aura. Formula is very smooth and something that brings a great deal of goodness in these nail polishes.

Dior Vernis for Spring 2014 are available at: Neiman Marcus, Sephora, and Nordstrom.
