ELLIS FAAS Concealer S202 S205 Swatch and Review

When we have small imperfections like dark spots or blemishes, achieving flawless face may not be that easy. But don’t let these frets boggle us down. There is a life saver called concealer comes into play. A concealer is like a skin problem corrector. Our dark spots and blemishes can easily be covered over with this wonderful tool.

Ellis Faas’s Concealer in S202 and S205 makes the work easier done than said. Yes I know it is suppose to be easier said than done… I reversed it!

The concealers come in a total of 8 shades, they work together with the foundations in pair. So that means whichever shade foundation you use, just pick the same shade concealer. It’s already matched for your skin tone. They are available at ellisfaas.com.

The concealer pen packaging remains the same as the others (except foundation pen being thicker). The bullet style pen design makes drawing very easy because it’s almost like a makeup brush in your hand. All you need to do is turn the knob on the bottom and the concealer comes out from the tip. Simple as that, no mess to worry about.

On the knob end the color codes are listed inside with a transparent plastic covering over it.

When you pop off the cap, what you see is a white nylon brush. The brush is so soft that feels like silk when using it over the face.

Give the pen a few shakes to ensure a good vacuum inside, it shouldn’t take more than 5 clicks before you see the product. Make sure not to turn too fast because a little bit of the concealer goes a long way.

So with just a bit of dab of each concealer, I have them dispensed on my arm that is more than enough to cover a large area.

After using the brush to even out the concealer you see a lightly blended look which shows the formula being very even in distribution. I also felt like an artist of some sort while using this concealer. It was fun almost like going back to kindergarten when we learned painting on the face.

Here is the final look on S202 after evenly blending out. Pigmentation is fantastic, as in deed a little goes a long way. The creamy texture makes blending super easy and the color melts into the skin seamlessly. It was quite hydrating as the formular contains Vitamin E and C along with anti-aging properties. Also the color matches my skin tone pretty nicely, just like the foundation S202 did. So they do work in pairs.

Finally, S205 is now complete with a even application. It is too dark on me but the swatch here shows you how well the concealer performs. S205 was the same as S202 in terms of pigmentation and consistency.

With a look of a professional artist brush, ELLIS FAAS’ concealer is one of a kind in its style. The formula is very easy to apply. Being a bullet style pen, the knob is also very easy to turn putting out just the correct amount of concealer each time. It provides great coverage while keeping skin moisturized all day. There was no caking or cracking, nor does it sink into fine lines. There was only long lasting flawless finish. ELLIS FAAS’ concealer is a must have for anyone wanting to perfect the canvas of their face.

Lovely texture for the concealer. And 8 shades to choose from? I’m really attempted.

S202 is great! Ellis Faas works really well especially the brush type design.

Seems like a great concealer! I love the pen (bullet) design. I have 2 lipsticks from EF and loved them. I really should try their foundation and concealer sometime. I just need to go up to SpaceNK.

Just what I needed for a concealer. I think S202 should match me perfectly. Thanks for the review and swatches.

S202 is good for lighter skinned. The concealer works really well from traditional styled ones.

I normally use YSL’s highlighter pen for concealing. How do you compare the two if you happen to have the YSL highlighter as well?

    • admin November 8, 2011 at 11:35 PM

Very different in texture. I would side more with Ellis Faas because of the feel and texture of the concealer. Whereas the YSL one is just a quick application. Don’t get me wrong because both are fairly quick it’s just that they have very different uses.

I just started using Ellis Faas products and so far I’m loving everything I tried, lipstick, eyeshadow. Maybe I’ll order their foundation and concealer next time. So I just pick the same shade for them?

    • admin November 8, 2011 at 11:36 PM

You could pick the same one as me. But it depends on your skin color. There are quite a few to choose from, and I would suggest trying to match your skin with the concealer color.

What MAC shade equivalent would you guess the S205 concealer is? thanks

    • admin December 31, 2011 at 6:42 PM

Sorry, I wouldn’t be able to tell you because I don’t use MAC. I could tell you that S205 is a medium color.
