ELLIS FAAS Creamy Lips L105 L106 Swatch and Review
When it comes to lipstick we usually think of the same ol’ round or square tube that’s either chubby or slim. Don’t you wish there is a change? Something out of the ordinary?
Finally something exquisite hits home and that is ELLIS FAAS. Today I’ll be featuring Creamy Lips in L105 and L106.
Each product comes in 2.8 ML or / .095 OZ and is sold at $35 @ EllisFaas.com.
Here’s a detailed list of ingredients and one other side of the packaging. Click the picture to enlarge.
The two shades I will be reviewing today is L105 and L106.
The mystery to the outside box is demystified with two extra sized bullets. Not the army style bullets, a bullet designed case that is like the shape of a pen. What you do is take off the cap and that’s when the magic happens.
ELLIS FAAS is etched on the casing giving it a smooth and classic feel.
The caps not only fit on top of the pen seamlessly, they also stay on tightly. You do need a bit of force to uncap them which is a good thing. At least you don’t have to worry about they fall off accidentally.
But that’s not all! The tip of Creamy Lips is a doe foot applicator, called showerhead, that feels so soft and smooth almost like a silky sponge.
One thing I really like ELLIS FAAS is that the products are numbered and color-coded at the end. So without opening the products, you know exactly which product you’re looking for. It’s no difference with these Creamy Lips. The ribbed end is also where you turn to dispense product.
On your first usage you need to flip the pen tip down while twisting the end for the product to come out. You also hear a crisp click sound. It does take a minute or two before you finally see color coming out on to the applicator. I took a picture here depicting how it would look like once the color started to come out. Doesn’t it look like a shower head?
Another 2 to 3 clicks it becomes ready to use. After that I just need 2 or 3 clicks for my whole lip. Anymore than that would be like overkill.
Here’s a swatch of both shades L105 and L106 taken in the shade. This lip color has amazing coverage and really unique texture. It is super lightweight but fully opaque. There is no visible scent to it and doesn’t feel tingling when used. The liquid paint glides on effortlessly without dragging.
Here is another swatch photo taken in sunlight. As you can see, there is a nice sheen on top of the color giving it a plumped effect.
Here’s a photo of L105 applied on my lips. The color is a brown toned brick red. Even though there’s no shimmer, it looks quite luminous. The liquid texture feels heavenly, it’s velvety and super moisturizing.
This is the other shade L106 applied. I really like this color a lot, it’s a soft rosy mauve that’s modern and subtle at the same time. The creamy texture did a great job filling in lip lines and it makes my lips smoother. I had problems using doe foot applicator from other brands because they tend to leave streaky brush marks but I had no problem with ELLIS FAAS Creamy Lips. Doing vertical motion also helps a lot.
I think these Creamy Lips are really a marvel to play with. The coverage is fantastic and the texture is so soft and smooth, having these on almost seems like putting on a second set of lips but with different colors and uniqueness. At the same time they are light weight so you really don’t feel like having any lipstick on. The creaminess lasts at least 5 hours without fading and drying. It feels rather emollient than waxy. The color doesn’t get easily transformed onto the cup when drinking either. It just stays on vibrantly all day long. Besides, looking at these pens are like seeing a set of artist brushes that are ready to use. I have not seen any lipstick come close to this style and it is something I would cherish a lot.

I really must get myself to the Liberty London Beauty hall and get me some Ellis Faas! Wonderful colours!
Jamilla let me know if you get anything and what you think! They are quite unique.
The pen style lipstick is really unique. I have never seen anything like this before. I am really fascinated by this brand. I did see a holder of some sort on their website and was wondering how it works because it seemed really cool!
That holder is like a round canister that holds their pens. I heard if you twist the bottom it will pop the pens out.
Do put up more reviews. I am really interested in this brand.
There will be a lot more reviews soon.
I discovered your site just today and I love your reviews they are so deep.
Thank you for stopping by!
ELLIS FAAS is so easily accessible here, as its origin is one of Germany’s neighbour countries, yet I didn’t know what to expect and how the items perform considering their price, but now I’m convinced I shall give in and get me some items, too!
Get it and tell me how you like it.
did the lipsticks have sticky feel to it?
No. The lipsticks were very smooth.
Wow, the box and the actual packaging is really nice. I’ve never heard of Ellis Faas before so thanks for the review. The colors look gorgeous and creamy, perfect for Fall.
Check them out on http://www.ellisfaas.com. They have a fall set with great colors.
Thank You for the review!
This sounds like a really interesting product. I love how you said that it is light wearing, creamy and non drying and that it doesn’t transfer easily onto cups. I don’t think that we have this brand here in Hawaii, unfortunately. I know that I could order online but I really prefer to see things in person and but it that way my first time around.
Kat hopefully they have a store that sells them in Hawaii soon!
OMGGGGGG This brand is so nice. I want a set of these pens. They are like bullet brushes just like what you described.
I need to pick up a few of these, now that Sephora carries them 🙂 I’ll probably start with red, but that brown color is also gorgeous!
Cant go wrong with the red.
ohh they look quite nice =] the sleek bullet like packaging and pigmentation ~
It is indeed very pigmented.
Love both those colours! Ellis Faas lip products are amazing.
Ellis Faas is a new <3 to us.
L106 is such a pretty shade!
All their colors are unique and nice.
Great colors! They’re beautiful and natural looking.
The pigmentation and color are awesome especially when you apply it on. It simply just glides.
