Gentle Hair Removal System Karmissie Threader Kit Review

Everyone knows regular facial exfoliation can remove dead skin cells on the surface of our skin, while at the same time help refine the skin texture and tighten our pores. But do you know that besides dead skin cells, unwanted hair can also cause skin problems or make our makeup look not so smooth. We try so hard to get rid of those pesky unwanted hairs like razor, waxing, tweezing, laser, etc. So what does it have to do with this cute little white bag?

In that bag is technology from the ancient days where hair removing was done naturally. It is transformed into an at home tool known as the Karmissie Threader Kit. It has everything you need right outta the box. Get it at www.neimanmarcus.com or www.thethreader.com for $125.00.

Here is an overall look of Karmissie threader LUX with the threads installed. It’s simple yet very user friendly. The pouch in the background is the carrying case that was showing at the beginning. It holds the threader neatly.

The brand’s logo symbolizes threads by connecting the brand’s initial letter K and the backward K.

Inside the box includes the instructions dvd, booklet and cotton threads. The cotton threads should last you anywhere from 6 to 9 months. An extra pack of 12 or 24 threads cost $15 and $20 respectively. Installation is a breeze, you can either watch the DVD or read the picture booklet.

There is also Feel Less lotion, Chalk and The Closer inside the box to make the threading process effortless.

The picture below depicts the consistency of how Feel Less (left) and The Closer (right) look before applying evenly. Starting off with Feel Less, the lotion alleviates pains and discomfort while you thread out hair. Make sure to put the lotion on as first step! The Closer is a cream that you would apply after you’re done with threading. What it does is soothes and calms the skin. One of the benefits to The Closer is that it can close pores and prevent breakouts.

Finally, Chalk is essential made from rice powder. This should be applied on after Feel Less and prior to threading. What the rice powder does is makes fine and hard to see hairs visible to the naked eye. But that’s not all! If also makes the threads grip onto the hair more effectively while also easier glide for the threader.

As you can see the ends of the thread is installed and locked in place at the edge of the 4 corners that hold the threads out.

In the middle the threads are twisted into an X shape to pull out unwanted hair.

On the handle part is a big push down button which is hand held for threading at your own pace. And the back of the handle is ergonomically designed for maximum comfortability.

The threader after installed also has two sides to use. One is a longer arm depicted below and the other is a shorter arm in the second picture.

Finally, here is a last look of the threader in its entirety. By following the instruction, I was able to remove those fine facial hair really quickly. The application is simple and easy. It’s really fun pressing the button and see the threads gliding on the face. With Feel Less applied, I can still feel a bit pinching sensation but it doesn’t hurt badly. The process is gentle enough that I don’t see my face turn red or get irritated. After threading I can immediately feel my skin being smoother and makeup goes on more evenly than ever.

Karmissie makes a threader that comes fully packed with everything you need from start to finish. As versatile as this threader gets, you can use it just about anywhere such as eyebrows and area above lips. So it’s not restricted to the facial hair. Do read the FAQ on www.karmissie.com. When you calculate the cost, this threader is so much more affordable than salon visits, considering each visit costs nearly half price of the threader. And nothing beats the privacy at home and the sense of accomplishment threading yourself.

I don’t think I brave enough to thread my own brows, but it’s an interesting product!

Give it a swirl. It is something fairly new to me. I don’t think this is for threading brows though. It’s more like in grown hair puller on the skin.

It is safe according to it’s website. There is a FAQ that tells you where it can be used, quite unique if you’d ask me.

I saw this on NM and thought it was strange. Never seen something like this before but after seeing the review here, it seems painful.

It’s not that painful. Karmissie is like an epilation system for at home.

Would two treads weaved around work or it must have the machine such as this one?

I don’t quite comprehend what you are trying to say but I think you need the machine since it’s push function against the skin. Whereas if you use two treads you are exfoliating up and down.

I heard the reviews on Amazon are inflated by friends of the owner. Others have told me it is really hard to use and hard to control over your face? Is that true?

Leanne, it isn’t really hard to use. It is quite simple. It is more or so like a manual labor mechanism. You have push the button while the strings are against your face.

I didn’t have a good experience with this product. Tried it at my friend’s place, and it was just not very easy to use. She said she’s too lazy to “practice” so can’t get the hang of it either.
