Get The Look: 2012 Emmy Award Winning Actress, Julia Louis-Dreyfus

To get Julia’s look for the Emmys, I started with Clarins Beauty Flash Balm mixed with Clarins Extra-Firming day cream to energize and prep her skin. I then applied Clarins Total Eye Concentrate to cool and smooth around the eyes. With a sponge, I applied Fit Me foundation by Maybelline in Soft Honey. After foundation, my secret weapon to perfect skin is Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. It smoothes pores and fine lines and helps mattify the skin. It makes you use less powder.

To start the eyes, I used Anastasia Perfect Brow Powder Duo in Brunette. To be sure the shadow would last all night, I used Clarins Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base. I used Armani Eyes To Kill in a plum #27 , went over it with another Armani bronze gold shadow #5 and brushed a small amount of Sephora Mono Eyeshadow in California Blonde. I added the Clarins 3 Dot Liner and dotted it between the lashes instead of doing a traditional liner. It gave an illusion of a line without taking away from the lid. To pop the eye, I applied three coats of L’Oreal Voluminous mascara in Carbon Black. In case she wins, I didn’t want the mascara to run so I applied Clarins Double Fix’ Mascara. It’s a waterproofing seal that goes over mascara and doesn’t change the color. You can also put it over your brows to keep them in place.  I finished under the eyes last, in case any shadow fell and needed to be cleaned. I like to use something creamy with good coverage so I used Clarins Instant Light Brush-On Perfector in 01 and 02 mixed.

Blush is a soft mauve Armani Sheer Blush #10. It gives a highlight on the cheeks without being too much color.  I brushed over the forehead, nose and chin with the Clarins Loose Powder.

Lips are lined for definition with Clarins Lip Definer in 05 Azalea, a soft natural color. I filled in lips with the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 02 to keep them moist and smooth for the evening. Topped with a light pale nude color: Rouge d’Armani in Beige 101.

To finish and to set the make up for a long evening I misted the entire face with Clarins Fix’ Make-Up. It will keep the make-up from fading.
