Giorgio Armani Designer Lift Smoothing Firming Foundation SPF 20 Swatch and Review

A foundation with the ability to make you look 10 years younger than what you really are is probably out of the question. You might ask what kind of foundation is that? Do I need to do uplifting action? Or do I have to put on some equipment with the foundation? Actually none of those even apply! Armani’s Designer Lift Smoothing Firming Foundation comes with the ability to uplift your face / skin effortlessly.

Giorgio Armani’s Designer Lift Smoothing Firming Foundation comes in 10 different shades. Each bottle is 30 ml and is for sale at $65.00. You can find them at www.giorgioarmanibeauty-usa.com, NordstromNeiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

The foundation comes in a textured elegant black exterior box. Note that the foundation has SPF 20 and is dermatologically tested. The shade that is shown in this post is #4 which is in the light shade family. You can see that there is a chart of numbers below that I have taken from Armani’s website to show you what numbers match which shade.

Light: 2, 3, 4
Medium: 5, 5.5, 6, 7
Dark: 8, 9, 11.5

A full view of the color can be seen through the frosted glass bottle. The cap has a smooth feel to it. One of the things I noticed was that there is an expiration date on the back of the bottle. It’s quite nice to have it there, so you know when to get a replacement.

After lifting up the cap, a pump is inside. The pump has a small sprout opening so that you won’t dispense too much at once.

There are two main things that you should know about this foundation. The first being, “The Invisible Face Lift.” Armani has a Micro-fil technology that drapes the face with ultrafine micro-lifting matrix. What happens is that this elastic matrix seals a high concentration of exclusive emollients and velvet filters that immediately lift, soften, and firm the skin surface. The second is the new Armani glow. Included is Prussian blue pearl pigment which gives intense depth and luminosity to revive skin and correct discolors. Finally, this creates a youthful glow. All in all, there is a combined total of 12 hours of lifting action.

Here is a before photo of the foundation getting ready for application. As you can see on the left is a drop of the foundation and how my skin looks a bit uneven. Whereas towards the center to right is a quick blend of the foundation.

After using a foundation brush further smoothing out, the unevenness disappears completely. The skin looks nothing but naturally glowy. It has the right balance of matte and luminosity, at the same time doesn’t look “made-up.” The formula is feather weight and lightly scented which is quite enjoyable. It also minimizes pores and fine lines so the skin looks younger.

With superb coverage and long lasting power, Armani Designer Lift Foundation is the perfect one. Not only does it have lifting action but also gives glow. The formula is breathable and doesn’t look dull at the end of the day. Armani is a must have for anyone desiring a flawless canvas on the face.

I have this is Shade 6 to wear when I’m in Oman. Usually wear LSF 5 in London then 5.5 in Oman.

The foundation is really neat and great too! I never tried GA’s foundation until this one. I am pretty much in love with it.

I swear by GA’s foundations. Their foundation is the best around that I’ve seen aside from Suqqu. I have yet to get my hands on a Suqqu foundation though.

Suqqu supposedly are great makers of foundation as well when compared to their peers. But GA’s foundation is already pretty top notch in quality.

Wow, that really does look quite nice and flawless where you applied it.

I was sent a card by Neiman a month or so ago stating that I can pick up a 10 day sample of this foundation. I wasn’t interested but after reading this post, I’m thinking about seeing if I can still get it.

    Thank you for the review!

I tried this in #4. It is just the right balance of matte and luminosity, so beautiful on the skin. I do not need more foundations, but I had to have this.
