Giorgio Armani’s recent base makeup duo Maestro Foundation and Concealer are truly remarkable tools that effortlessly enhance our complexion and bring things to life on a perfect canvas. Even though every Armani foundation specializes in its own territory, Maestro being the new addition to the family provides a unique makeup experience that you don’t want to miss out.
So now that the foundation part of the business has been taken care of, coloring the face is what comes next. What better is it to use brand new Armani Eyes to Kill Quad Shadow Palettes? They are so easy to work with and provide outstanding color coverage towards the lids.
Giorgio Armani’s new Eyes to Kill 4 Color Eyeshadow Palettes are very special. These palettes are crafted based on Armani’s innovative color-fil technology for intense true color. There are 3 things these palettes can achieve with 3 different looks. Each palette comes with highly pigmented matte where color is longer lasting and each color has great color payoff. There is also a blend of light particles with translucent base from the shadows. Which means, color is much more perfect and glowing as well as highlighting towards the lids. If you look at the shadows closely in the palette you will notice that the colors are in gradation from light to dark.
In any case, the palette itself is such a fine lacquered black color in a smooth and sleek packaging. There are a total of 8 variations for these palettes, #1 Maestro, #2 Terra Siena, #3 Pantelleria, #4 Effeto Nudo, #5 Mediterranea, #6 Boudoir, #7 Saharan Blush and #8 Parma. Today we’re showing #1 Maestro and #4 Effeto Nudo.
Much similar to the fall Easy Chic collection palettes, these eyeshadow quads also has 2 tier design. But this time the whole bottom tier belongs to the dual-ended sponge applicators. So basically the shadows are kept clean on its own tier.
The first palette here is #1 Maestro. It comes in a darker duskier set of colors, almost like the fashion pieces that are seen from the runway shows. The grey and taupe colors really resembles blouses, power suits, and more. Below are 2 shots taken in direct sunlight and with camera flash to show you the light reflections coming from the palette.
Each of the color ranging from top to bottom of the palette are seen as satin taupe, satin gray, matte gray, and matte black. All shades have incredible pigmentation, apply smoothly and blend beautifully, with the last 2 matte shadows being slightly drier in texture. Colors do represent the quad itself going from light shimmery to matte dark.
What’s more is that the colors are perfect for creating a smoky effect look. The luminous satin and pure matte are great contrast on the lids but what about the lashes and the rest? I would say pair the colors up with some Dior Grand Bal False Lashes and possibly even a few Violent Lips to bring a sleek chic cross punk look.
The second palette from the collection showing here is #4 Effeto Nudo. You probably guessed it by simply looking at the colors of the palette that they are pretty nude in color. Nude or maybe even earthy, you be the judge.
The colors in this palette look even more nude and earthier in color after swatching the shadows. They evoke a more natural appeal vs a smoky look. Being a nude palette, matching nude nail polishes can be easily found from the Dior Vernis Nude Collection.
Each of the colors can be seen as satin champagne, matte light mushroom taupe, matte medium brown, and matte dark brown. Aside from the bright champagne color everything else is matte but with great color payoff.
So now we have the new palettes in hand and ready to rock out some killer looks? The palette comes in a detailed instructions booklet with diagrams for achieving these designer eye look. As you can see there are looks for the duo nudo (nude duo), trio gratico (graphical trio), and quatuor sfumato (the smoky four).
Giorgio Armani’s palettes amaze with the color gradation selection and also how much of a contrast each colors look after being swatched. The formula in each shadow also provides a smooth application with intense pigmentation but in a softer approach than something hard to work with. The formula and color design are both fantastic. With different looks and combinations, the possibility is endless. Overall these quads are must-haves for anyone whether you just started playing with makeup or you already have a drawer full of makeup. A great palette is all you’re going to reach out to.
