Givenchy Holiday 2011 Vernis Please! 176 Noir Celeste Swatch and Review
What is more romantic than capturing a night sky with stars that look like crystals shining ever so brightly? The moment remains in your memory and heart. During the end of the year, nightfall comes rather quickly with not enough hours of sunlight. A nail polish gives the very view from its creation.
Givenchy’s Holiday 2011 Vernis Please! 176 Noir Celester encapsulates a nightfall sky with stars shining at different angles.
The nail polish comes in at .18 fl oz, selling for $16.50 on Sephora.com.
The bottle is a very silvery shimmered black nail polish, like a starry night.
So when I applied a 2 coat application, the nail polish was very glossy with silver shimmers twinkle in the black color. Besides looking like starry night, it also resembles a slab of black granite. Pigmentation was pretty good with 2 coats, it was a bit thick in consistency but at least it wasn’t streaky. One thing I did note was, the applicator could be a bit better in shape. It was a bit hard to apply the nail polish. Normally I never had problems with other Givenchy nail polishes, so maybe only this bottle. It did dry to a nice smooth shiny finish without feeling too gritty.
Black granite or starry night, whichever you want to call it! It’s a classic elegant black with a glamorous twist. Might not be the most unique polish out there, but it’s got holiday spirit written all over it.
Givenchy Holiday 2011 L’or Celeste Starry Loose Powder Swatch and Review
I don’t think this polish is a must have, there should be plenty of dupes out there for much cheaper price. But I do love the glossy finish of it, unlike a lot of shimmer/glitter polish tend to be gritty.
The glossiness is what makes this polish unique. There is no gritty feel to it.
What a beautiful color, just like you say, perfect for the holidays! 🙂
It’s the black with sparkly shimmers that resemble the night time that caught me. I did think it looked like a piece of marble granite though
This is such a classic black that I love.
OH MY GOOD. Gorgeousness cannot be described with words!
