Guerlain Spring 2011 Blush G Serie Noire and Rouge G Serie Noire 70 Fuchsia Delice Preview

Spring reborn at Guerlain. This season it’s all about pink. As early as mid January, Guerlain launched it’s Spring 2011 “Sur Mes Levres” collection. Of course the collection includes eye colors, lip glosses and the new Meteorites Compact, a pressed powder monochrome version of the well-known Meteorites Perles. But the highlights of the collection would be the Blush G Serie Noire and Rouge G Serie Noire. I’m lucky to be able to pick up both the blush and the lipstick (well in one shade out of the 4). And today I’ll be showing you some pictures first. Detailed swatches and reviews will come soon.

Let’s take a look at the blush first.

As always with Guerlain’s products, it comes in a gorgeous luxurious packaging. The compact is housed in a black velvet pouch with hot pink satin lining.

The shiny black lacquer compact is made of plastic so it feels a lot lighter than a metal compact. Though it doesn’t look cheap at the same time.

There’re two layers in the compact; first layer is the actual blush. The bottom layer holds a flat hot pink brush.

The blush itself has 4 different shades of pink and coral stripes with a big cursive “g” on top as initial of the brand.

Now let’s move on to the Rouge G Jewel Lipstick Compact.

There’re 4 shades released in the collection, 71 Rose Desir, 70 Fushia Delice, 45 Orange Euphorique and 24 Rouge Sensuel (color on Natalie). The shade I picked up is 70 Fuchsia Delice.

The packaging is also in a black lacquer compact with the same regular Rouge G Lip Jewel design.

The detail on the back of the compact.

A lovely hot pink shade that will light up my whole Spring!

I can’t wait to use these and show you the swatches in a later post. Stay tuned~!

I am absolutely in love with that blush but it costs $78 here in Canada. It is soo pretty. All of the different colours look amazing alone or blended all together.

Don’t be scared by the press photo. It really can be applied lightly and looks great on every girl.
