The Boyfriend Palette: Hello Kitty Graffiti Eyeshadow and Blush Palette Swatch and Review

With graffiti splattered all over showing a colorful yet very artful look, our beloved kitty shows off her coolness with this new palette. The visual language of the streets is found throughout the entire palette. What would it be?

It is Hello Kitty Graffiti Eyeshadow & Blush Palette! The title sounds really rhythmic. Say “Hello Kitty Graffiti” 3 times and you’ll see.

Her cute ribbon is on the top holding down the list of notes and ingredients that go in the palette.

What really cool about this palette is that the graffiti art appeared on each compact is totally different. So the one you get is your own unique and one of a kind design. Mine has the Hello Kitty’s face sticking out of the bottom edge.

The ribbon is so shiny!!!!!

Besides visually becoming appealed to this palette, the ingredients also contain powerful antioxidants, such as extracts of strawberry, apple, and grape seed… YUM!!… Those are used to hydrate and soften our skins… Maybe I will just take the fruits out of the fridge and start applying them on my skin! Well maybe not exactly but you know those are great to prevent skin aging. Who doesn’t want to look young?

Besides a big mirror we have 4 eye shadows on the top tier , which are shimmery gray (top left), soft pink (bottom left), charcoal (bottom right), and grayish teal (top right).

On the back of the top tier there is more graffiti art. Again yours may look completely different than mine.

On the bottom tier we have 2 powder blushes in bronzy peach (left) and dusty pink (right).

As you can see the shimmers are very subtle but at the same time the texture is velvety smooth and easy to glide on. I don’t see much fallout from any of the 4 shades.

The blush duo goes well with the eye shadows because you get a variety of either being peachy or pink. Both blushes are matte but not chalky. They are quite pigmented and can be layered for more intensity.

There is only one word that can describe how awesome this palette really is and that is, “COOL.” The shimmers are so subtle that the sharp edgy look is what makes it so attractive. After applying the shadows, you get a boyfriend look with a bit of manliness (think the term “boyfriend shorts”, etc). So close your eyes and visually imagine how the palette would look with a hip designed style t-shirt and a pair of True Religion topped off with some flo-ridin’ sneakers. The end result is a bit gangsta’ but attractive with its edgy style.

Finally, I took a look at this and its predecessor Memoirs of a Kitty, this palette really blew my mind with its street chic style compared to warmer feminine look.

Interesting.. Honestly when I first saw this palette, I kinda wrote it off. I love Hello Kitty, but I was not a fan of the palette packaging. However, your swatches look so nice. I might give it another look! I especially like that peachy blush color. Really cute!

The contrast between the two is one is more feminine then the other!
