Hello Kitty Hello Pretty Palette Swatch and Review

When I first came across this Hello Kitty palette and thinking about summer, I was like, “What a great idea!” Well the great idea that I had in mind was the exterior case design. Instead of the traditional Hello Kitty palettes looking sleek and glossy, for example Graffiti palette and Memoirs of a Kitty palette, the Hello Pretty palette has a smooth rubbery finish! During the summer time we tend to sweat more than usual especially when there is a scorching sun above our heads, so the rubbery touch is perfect to avoid accidental slip or even drop.

Hello Kitty Hello Pretty palette comes in a vintage like matte black box with glossy black dots all over. The text is in shiny gold color.

Hello Pretty palette comes in a 2 tier design like all the Hello Kitty palettes do, but this time we have 2 tiers of eyeshadows in a total of 8 shadows, 4 on each tier. The total weight is 8×2.04g which is a lot to play with.

On the top tier of the palette there are the following colors: pearly champagne gold (top left), pinkish nude with silver glitter (lower left), pearly sky blue with blue and silver shimmer (lower right), and matte mocha brown (top right). Below I have the palette shots in 3 different lightings, natural, sunlight and camera flash. As you can tell, the bottom 2 shades are quite shimmery and sparkly while all 4 shades look fine and smooth.

On the next tier we have iridescent regal purple (top left), pearly white (bottom left), pale pink with silver glitter (lower right), and sparkly charcoal black with silver glitter (top right). Besides the full sized mirror on the case cover for the top tier shadows, the back of the top tier is also made with shiny material so that you can use as a mirror too.

Here is a swatch of all the shades starting from top left in counterclockwise. Each color is highly pigmented and extremely vibrant with smooth application. Most of them are only swiped once, except the pale pink on the 2nd tier being a tad dry that requires some effort. The shadows are quite finely milled with minimum fallouts on the glittery ones. The most beautiful colors are the pinkish nude on the 1st tier and purple on the 2nd tier.

This palette is indeed pretty. There are so many bold/dramatic and everyday colors to choose from with a variety of finishes from matte, to shimmery to glittery. The palette brings different looks for different events. The combination can be changed as often as wanted. Each shadow is formulated with superb color payoff too, which makes it a plus. This summer, the ever so fashionable Hello Kitty dressed in pink is so hot that will even melt a popsicle.

Hehe it is cute. Let’s just hope the rubbery finish doesn’t get all sticky after a while, so far so good for me.
