Jill Stuart 2012 Christmas Collection Prism Carat Eyes Swatches Review

Christmas is over; spring is coming soon. For Jill Stuart, it is about the rosy floral colors. But before we head into full force for Spring 2013 with the brand, there was something worth mentioning about from the Holiday 2012 Collection. What has been apart of Jill Stuart’s Holiday 2012 Collection were 3 Prism Carat Eyes. Let’s talk about the trio today.

When you first open up the package and take out the jars, you will notice there are 3 different colored jewels on the cap, also each jar is double-decked. The design from the brand is absolutely dreamy princess like. The upper deck is filled with prismatic loose glitter whereas the bottom deck is a shimmering veil of cream eye color. It is noted that you could wear the colors alone or layer them on the eyelids.

The 3 colors are named: 106 Shafts of Love, 107 In Love with Love, and 108 Fall in Love.

When opening up the jar, the first thing noted was the rosy scent. Make sure to carefully open the top because the loose powder could fall out mistakenly. Shafts of Love is a bronzy beige color that is filled with bits of gold shimmer. A little earthly like but surely on the subtle side when applied.

By now, it seems like Valentine’s is heading in after looking at each title / name. In Love with Love has a highlighting white loose powder with sweet pink cream eye color.

Last but not least, Fall in Love is more towards smoky tone, perhaps the boldest out of the trio. The loose glitter is a copper toned ruby while the base is a smoky brown with a hint of plum.

Looking at all three swatched, not only are the colors highlighting. The formula is smooth. Using the finger tips, it is easy to apply on, of course you could use a brush to pick up the colors as well. Whether you’re looking for a shiny highlighted look or a more delicate sheen, you could mix and match both top and bottom decks. For the ultimate sophistication, layer the loose texture on top of the cream.
