Jill Stuart Lip Jewel 01 Catseye Wink

Jill Stuart is one of my favorite Japanese cosmetic brand. Its girly, princess-y packaging and its great color selection have won my love season over season. A key element of this bright and cheerful wave of springtime fashion is lip makeup. So today I’m going to bring you the newest lip gloss which called lip jewel with 12 new shades. Special thanks to BonBonCosmetics for supplying this product.

Let’s first take a look at the packaging.

A pleated and draped chiffon dress, gently flowing over your body. A silk-satin pantsuit, shining with radiance as you cut an elegant figure. The Jill Stuart 2011 Spring Collection depicts a clean-cut, modern Jill girl who retains that vital sense of femininity.

Warm cream, vanilla and caramel colors, inspired by a beautiful sunset, bring a slightly more adult, lady-like feeling to the collection. (Jill Stuart Beauty)

Product information and ingredients.

Liquid lip color to drench your lips in a dewy veil of translucent color. Creates full, lustrous lips with jewel-like shimmer and shine.

01 catseye wink (Stone Word: Intuition).

One side of the box is designed with a slit on top for easy opening. I noticed some other brand like Cle de Peau also has the same design.
Though the rose -cut container is made of plastic. It does not look or feel cheap.

The details on the cap and tube are rather sweet.

Pure crystal powder makes this lip rouge shine like gemstone.

Light-pink Swarovski crystal on top of the cap, elegant and cute!

A cute and sexy reddish pink, evoking a cat’s eye.
The neck of the bottle has a smaller opening so it will remove excess product when you pull out the applicator.

Unlike the regular brush type or sponge applicator, the newly developed flocked tip has super long bristles.

And one side is fatter than the other. It allows to pick up more lip colors and is so incredibly soft which makes you truly feel like a princess.
A zoomed swatch on the back of the hand. There’re tons of pink, silver and gold glitter dust of gems.

Applied freshly on the lips. The crystal floral bouquet scent is light and pleasant. The coverage is smooth and translucent. The finish is lustrous and volumizing.

It’s like sparkling jewels in the sun. The tube is full of happy glitters.

4 hours later it may look less sparkling, but the shine is still there.

My thoughts about Jill Stuart Lip Jewel 01 Catseye Wink:

– The packaging is adorable. Needless to say, it’s Jill Stuart!
– The coverage is semi-sheer and translucent. But you can definitely wear this alone without lipstick.
– The finish is smooth, glossy and sparkly and it feels luxurious on the lips.
– It is long lasting and super moisturzing with ingredients like Almond Oil (emollient) and Wild Rose Extract (moisturizer).
– The floral scent is light. You can only smell it when you sniff it, just in case you don’t like scented lip products.
– There’s no sticky feeling associated with this lip gloss, zero, none!

$35.99 price tag is a little hard to swallow.

Lucky you for trying out JS stuff for free. I’m a big fan myself for over two years now, but actually started BUYING JS stuff when they released the Holiday coffret and I recently placed an order for the Valentine’s box and can’t wait to try it out. The first promotion pictures for the lip lustre – your product here – popped up in late October and I SO want to try them, ok these are just some more lustres out there on the market, but JS beats them ALL and seeing these pics… wow, your lips look amazing, the colour is definitely THE leading colour in that collection.

Oooh it’s so feminine and beautiful! And no stickiness- that is so important! Probably more than I would spend on a gloss though!

Wow it’s so pretty! I am a total sucker for JS packaging! I’m glad the quality isn’t compromised either. Pity I’m not much of a lip gloss girl although it doesn’t stop me admiring other people’s!
