Palettes nowadays have different looks and variations. Some are pigmented while some are soft. But have you heard of changing looks due to water? Laura Mercier’s Holiday Mini Baked Eye Trio Golden Metallics, that will be featured today has some sort of way to change looks with water.
There are more tricks than I had originally anticipated about this Baked Eye Trio palette. This palette can be used either wet or dry for a different variation. Something that I never knew. With the regular approach you get an even wash of colors but as you move to the wet approach colors are even more vibrant and shimmery. Kinda interesting.
Let’s go ahead and take a look into the palette a bit further.
Looking at the palette, you might notice that the colors contain earthy/jungle toned colors. You might even think that these colors are great for ornaments to put up on a tree. Whatever it is, these colors are magnificent and shimmery too. Colors in the pan are Golden Leaf (left), Black Karat (middle), and Emerald (right).
Pigmented to the touch is probably the best way to describe these. They run down the skin easily for application with evenly distributed shimmers. Colors are metallic.
The palette sports two different looks ranging from casual to a more dramatic look. It is done by either using a dry makeup brush or damp one. The size of the palette is indeed mini, which makes it a great day to night 2-in-1 palette. During the day, apply it dry for a more sophisticated look, and at night transform your eyes with some water for a va va voom effect.
