When it comes to bath and body products, Laura Mercier is quite the luxury. The brand offers a variety of sweet scents dedicated to dessert, each scent brings its own unique quality. Some of the other scents include Almond Coconut Milk and the signature hand cremes. Today let’s take a look at the holiday 2012 limited edition body & bath duo, Tarte au Citron.
You might have noticed that a few days ago, there was a honey dipper shot dedicated to this. Anyhow, when you first pop open the box, you will notice that the outside is a python designed top holding everything inside. In the interior though, 2 jars are snugged with a wooden dipper tied to one of them. You might be able to smell some of the wonderful scent now.
The set comes complete with a souffle body creme and honey bath. The Jars are made of heavy duty glass with silvery screw caps.
The honey bath is thick and gooey. When you use the wooden dipper, you need to turn it around to swipe out the honey bath. A little bit under warm-hot water will result in bubbles. Do note that the water becomes pleasantly scented with a mix between honey and citrus. The fragrance is fresh and uplifting, there’s essence of lemon, bergamot, cassis and warm creme fraiche. And the honey really softens up the skin as it moisturizes it, leaving it silky smooth with a clean feel.
As for the souffle body creme, it has a even deeper honey citrus scent but with a sweet custard twist. After taking the bath, this whipped body creme completes the ritual. The texture is light and fluffy, melts into the skin almost instantly without being greasy at all. Though the moisturizing effect is quite amazing, as it keeps skin feeling hydrated, soft and supple all day long.
After trying out this set, I can safely say that the scent makes you feel a lot more cleaner with a crisp. It can also be marked as high quality due to its natural ingredients. As relaxing as it gets, Laura Mercier products relieves stress and makes bathing enjoyable.
