L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup Foundation Swatch and Review

L’Oreal Paris has built something cutting edge and also high tech in terms of finding the best shade matching your skin tone. Before I headed out to the local CVS to make a purchase of the new True Match Makeup Foundation, I decided to download the True Match app to find out a little bit more about which color suited me the best.

To begin finding your true match, first download the free application on iPhone. If you have an iPad or iPod Touch, there’s also an app for your device.

After you agree to the terms & conditions, you are at the main menu. If you look on the bottom there are 4 options for you to use on the menu.

The very first one you should push is “Find Your Shade.” You will then see a series of questions that will help determine what color shade best suits you. Some of the questions are quite interesting and fun at the same time. Like question #1.

Once you get to question #9 or step #9 it is ready to give you the result for your shade.

Mine was a N3, Natural Buff. I was ready to go pick it up now.

But before we go any further, there was an option that can show who shares the same color tone as you. Mine happened to be the famous Claudia Schiffer.

Want to find out where to purchase your True Match? The app also got you covered! Just tap the Store Locator on the bottom. It will make things a lot easier!

Here is my very own shade in n3 natural buff. It came in a cute little bottle at 1 fl. oz. The top was a shiny silvery cap with the shade number on it.

When you twist off the cap, the color is ready to be used. Make sure not to pour too much or too fast. You might get more color than needed.

When I first used this foundation, I noticed that the color choice was spot on. The application proved easy to do as the color could be easily blended smoothly onto the skin. You can take a look for yourself on the picture below. The color itself as a mass liquid is shown on the left whereas the even application can be seen on the right. Coverage is superb and the finish is really natural. It covers pores nicely while keeping shine at minimum.

As easy as it sounds, the app was truly marvelous. You could easily find your color instead of testing different ones out and wasting your time. I do recommend downloading the app at the iTunes Store. Best of all the app is FREE.

With over 30 shades to choose from, and the help of the true match app, the chance of finding your perfect color match is 100%. And the foundation itself is at top quality for drugstore makeup. I like the consistency on it, neither too thick nor too runny. It blends beautifully on the skin and lasts all day.

True Match Matchmaker App allows you to find your precise True Match shade by determining your unique undertone and depth through a series of focused questions.  Once you find your True Match shade you will be able to use the store locator feature to see which stores carry your shade as well as see who your celebrity undertone match is and get other product recommendations based on your unique shade!

L’Oreal’s True Match is a super easy to use foundation. I have a bottle of it and was quite amazed at how wonderful the product looks after applying it all over my face.
