MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Complexion Starter Kit in HD Invisible Cover Foundation 117 Marble Swatch and Review

Looking flawless doesn’t have to be so hard anymore. Make Up For Ever has a HD Complexion Starter Kit featuring 4 items with 1 being a choose-able foundation for the perfect skin. To achieve HD flawlessness, Make Up For Ever claims it can be done in 3 simple and easy steps. Let’s have a look.

First and foremost, this set can be bought at for $79.00. The value on this set is priced at $109.00.

The kit comes with 4 items. They are as follows:

0.17 oz HD Microfinish Powder
HD Kabuki Brush
0.5 oz HD Microperfecting Primer in 0 Neutral
1.01 oz HD Invisible Cover Foundation (choose from 25 shades)

To prepare the skin, the primer is lightweight and oil-free that minimizes pores!  This primer is pretty good for what it is. It hydrates and softens the skin. I did notice my skin feels smoother and more radiant after applying it. Foundation also seemed to glide on easier and last longer. The light scent formula smells pleasant but not over powering.

Next we have the foundation which covers up all imperfections while also nourishing and hydrating the skin. While trying out this foundation, I noticed just a small amount would be enough since it has buildable medium to full coverage. It does conceal imperfections really well without looking heavy or mask-y. The color I picked out was 117 Marble which is for light skin with yellow undertones.

To finish the entire look, the HD Microfinish Powder is the last thing on the list. Along with the powder is a soft and easy to use Kabuki Brush. The powder is 100% mineral silica formulated which adds a soft-focus effect to the look. This finishing touch is remarkable. It leaves the skin looking smooth and even without flaws. It does a really good job in minimizing pores and oil absorbing.

I took a quick snapshot of all the products and how they look on the skin except the powder which is translucent. Going from left to right:

Primer in 0 Neutral with a watery but easy to apply consistency, foundation in 117 Marble with a small sized pump, and foundation blended.

I always thought having flawless looking skin was a tough task since you need to find the perfect products and sometimes it costs a lot of money. Now with Make Up For Ever HD Complexion Starter Kit it doesn’t hold true anymore because the kit has everything you need from start to finish. It helps you achieve the perfect HD results in simple steps that even a dummy could do. What is so good about this kit is that not only you get a full sized Invisible Cover Foundation in your shade, you also get to try Make Up For Ever’s staple items in travel size. And the kit is so affordable at only $79, when the HD invisible foundation alone is $40. With all the holiday parties going on, you’re going to need this for your flawless HD ready skin.

That brush looks awfully small. Does it even fit inside the powder?

It is a tad small but it still works.

Finally a quick and easy kit for foundationing. I saw this on the sheves at Sephora, didn’t know what it was but looking at this tells everything.
