Fashion’s Night Out is probably one of the best times during the year. Everyone is hip and looks beautifully stunning and gorgeous. NARS was one of the most talked about brands in the beauty industry while it provides makeup to the various fashion brands on and off the runway.
Celebrating Fashion’s Night Out from NARS includs 2 newly created items featuring a Duo Eyeshadow and a Velvet Matte Lip Pencil.
This set is basically two new additions to the 413 BLKR collection. The inspiration for making these came from New York City itself. Color wise right off the bat looks very classically drawn with bold and clean looks.
For those of you who don’t know what 413 BLKR is, it is the brand’s flagship boutique at West Village. Sadly, I have never been there, probably sooner or later I will visit the place. Just need to cross my fingers!
In the pan, this duo eyeshadow features a shimmering amethyst and black with red pearl. I really think they come from the clay like red style colors by just staring at the shadows. Though, later on after swatching it looks exactly like the descriptions.
Next we have the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil which features a vibrant fuchsia. Every time I come across these pencils, I am trying to hide them from the little hands. Someone in the house thinks it is a super color pencil that can be used to draw magnificent drawings and artwork. Months ago, one of my NARS pencil went MIA and after finding it, a whole bulk of it was all used up. My heart is still crying…
Here is a photo of it in the sun. The shimmers can be clearly seen in the black shadow. Colors in the photo do remind me a lot of earthiness. The pencil in the next photo, really shows a bold hot pink that even Barbie can’t compare to.
Both the shadows and pencil were smooth and easily applied on with full pigmentation and effortless gliding. The contrast between the shadows are quite well done with a lighter version and a pitch black one. After looking at putting the shadows on along with a fuchsia pink lips, the colors on the face is quite classic like without anything too flashy except maybe the lips. The shadows are quite coordinating. Though the lip pencil was meant to be worn on the lips, I thought it would be OK if I added a pop of color to the lashes.
Both products are well made with the correlation between color intensity and application. The combination of bright lips and mesmerizing eyes is facial highlighting in a chic and appealing approach. Created for the FNO, these colors are not limited to the special occasion, they are the beauty icon for everyday.
