For Spring 2013, NARS probably has the most colorful collection of all. Everything is complete with eyes, cheeks, lips, and nails. Looking at last year’s, colors are pretty different. It almost looks like Autumn in Spring but with a spice. Today we will look at an eyeshadow duo along with a blush, a shadow pencil, and finally a loose setting powder.
For this collection, NARS has fierce colors that are vibrantly sexy and jungle like but also feminine with a twist. To take a quick look at the season’s greatest from NARS, featured is a duo eyeshadow, pencil, blush, and a special setting powder. If you haven’t seen what is out there you can check out the press for the collection and powder.
Starting out with Mad Mad World Duo Eyeshadow palette, it holds the colors Cyan and Parakeet Green. Looking at the eyeshadows, you can find that it sports an extreme fresh new look that isn’t only bold to the taste but also very matching. The colors are vibrantly attractive when used that it not only applies on so easy it also reminds me of colors of parrots freely cruising over the vast horizon.
Next we have the all new Seduction Blush in Sangria. The color reminds me of two things. A red wine draped silk dress and the other is obviously red wine itself. The color isn’t a big bright red but a red that is complex with a mixture of plum sinked in with red grapes. Compared to last years, color might look dark for the season, though pairing up with the rest of the collection, it matches perfectly.
The Corcovado Soft Touch Shadow Pencil is 24-Karat Gold Pure Bliss! Not only did I started out playing with this pencil, even my daughter picked it up and wanted to draw with it. It is a vibrant true gold color that highlights everything in its path. This pencil is something that I think can turn any into a million dollar look. Just make sure to cap it when not in use, don’t want to waste gold.
Before moving on to the setting powder loose, let’s take a look at the swatches of the products mentioned above. The pigmentation on the eyeshadow is bright and catchy with superb color payoff. The colors are very vibrant and are easily applied on. As for the blush, it is pretty true to the color in the pan. It is a lot subtle than the average Joe, but it obviously can be layered on for a more intense look. The color incorporates into the rest of the look like a breeze. The 24 Karat stick gold, is a one slide wonder. Its color shows up instantaneous and is buttery smooth, high fidelity and audaciously appealing.
Last but not least is the Translucent Crystal Light Reflecting Powder Loose. This powder can enhance and touch up anything in its way. Not only is it translucent and invisible it makes the face look flawless by fading wrinkles and pores with light reflectors, which react to light and makes the skin brightened up. If you don’t like loose powder, there is also a pressed powder version which comes out 2 weeks after the release of this. Unfortunately, the loose powder was virtually impossible to show under the lens, so I’m snapshotting it on the jar cover. Though we wouldn’t able to show the true beauty of this powder, trust me it works wonders.
This season NARS has got the collection looking very edgy and colorful but the boldness of the colors define a mesmerizing look that’s sharpy cute. Each color is pigmented to the max giving effortless application. A complete look at all the colors together shows a complementing collaboration between each of the item.
