Neiman Marcus the Beauty Event Haul (Part I)

Neiman Marcus is one of my favorite stores when it comes to high end products. Some of their special locations always carry hard to find items such as Chanel Robertson Collection nail polishes in Las Vegas. Besides that they have two major beauty events around March and September which they give out very generous GWP (gift with purchase) items.

So what did I haul this year, you ask? Well since I had a gift card with handsome amount, I decided to go all out with Cle de Peau and Giorgio Armani. First of all let me show you the CDP items.

Extra Silky Lipstick 105. Since I fell in love with Dior lip serum de rouge lip treatment, I have my eyes on this. I heard it’s more moisturizing and lasts longer than Dior. I had a swatch at the counter, it indeed felt like silk.

Love the details at the end of the cap.

You gotta be careful with it though since it doesn’t retract like the Dior lip serum. It’d be better if it can go both ways.

Shade 105 is a soft peachy pink color that can be worn everyday. If I spend 50 bucks on a tiny lipstick like this, I want to be able to use it all the time.

Eye color quad 203. This is the box for the refill. Unlike the old eyeshadow quads, you’re given the options to buy only one case but more refills.

Or you can choose to buy the refill only. I know some people do that to save money. There’s nothing wrong with it.

There’re 5 color variations from the line. They’re all highly wearable so it was hard to choose. In the end I picked 203 which is more girly looking. It’s really sad that on the 2nd shade there’s a small imperfection. I wouldn’t call it a crack but you can still see there’s a line on it. So I need to get it replaced.

The case for the refill.

It comes with a velvet pouch that has a logo on the corner.

The back of the packaging tells you how to insert/remove the refill.

The case is very sleek and clean-cut. It doesn’t leave a ton of fingertips either.

It opens up like this. Two applicators and  a transparent film were included. Since I was going to get the refill changed, I didn’t insert it just yet.

Also got the Micro-Refining Treatment set.

It comes with a tube of micro-refining exfoliator and 6 sets of soothing moisture masks. I’ve tried the exfoliator when I had the facial at Neiman before. It was really phenomenal. It’s really like a at home micro dermabrasion treatment.

For Giorgio Armani, I got two Rouge d’ Armani lipsticks and a lip shimmer.

The packaging of the lipstick is also sleek yet fashionable. The irregular shape of the casing adds a vibe to it and the magnet ensures precise closure.

Pink 508 and Plum 600

The lipstick itself is also well made. When it was fully extended, the logos on the lipstick and casing match exactly.

Lip shimmer #9 Shimmer Pink. Once again I picked out a safe and wearable shade.

GWP items from CDP and Armani. The bags are in high quality especially the Armani one. I’m planning on using it as a coin purse.

The goodies inside CDP bag. Compared to past events, this is really nothing. They used to give out full sized massage cream and body cream.

I appreciate Armani GWP a lot better. The mini lipstick samples are good to try and they even include a full sized Eyes To Kill mascara in color #3 and a mini one (good for on the go).

The Neiman Marcus GWP when you spend 100 dollars. I didn’t take a picture of the bags. I never use those anyways.

Wait for the part 2 of the haul. It’s all because of that pitiful eyeshadow refill.
