Paul & Joe Pearl Foundation Primer Swatches Review

When I first saw this primer from Paul & Joe, I thought of bonbons. I also thought about jelly beans. Whatever it was, it reminded me of candy. The primer was first released earlier this Spring and soon sold out everywhere. Luckily for the special occasion of holiday, it got reproduced and re-released. Isn’t it so wonderful?

To give it a little seasonal look, I took the photos in snow… well snow like! Being in the golden state, we rarely get any snow. But these imitation snow come in handy. But still… it is a winter wonderland right now…

Paul & Joe Holiday 2012 Pearl Foundation Primer

This Pearl Foundation Primer comes in a traditional Paul & Joe flowery glass bottle with gorgeous color combinations between the little pearls inside and the cap. It comes in 30 ml.

The primer while being so pretty in the bottle, adds subtle luminosity for an even and youthful appearance. Its unique shade would flatter every skin tone.

Lately, I have been asked for ingredients on products, so here is a shot of it. From the press, it is said that there is an infusion of Orange Flower Water, White Lily Extract, Jojoba Oil, and Apricot Extract.

Besides the ingredients list, I found it quite cool that on the instructions, the brand actually tells you how to use the primer all up. Pouring out the contents and crushing the pearls with the fingertips, is something new to me. Usually, I’ve never seen instructions like this.

Topping off the cap reveals the pump design from the bottle. It is easy to pump and dispense the right amount needed each time for use. After dispensing though, remember to cap it again.

Do you know how many different colored pearls are inside? Four! Yellow, Blue, Pink, and Purple. These shades are what bring the luminosity and radiance to the skin.

If you look closely, on the left part of the hand is a dispensed amount of primer vs an evened out one on the right side. Despite the different colored pearls, the colors look golden to the skin. The primer is easily applied too without clumps or mess. It also sticks to the skin quite well.

Pretty as these pearls may seem, they give a spectacular glow to the skin. Although, I don’t know if I would be willing to use it up since I am afraid these might be gone again. When that happens, I would be sad since the colors and design is so candy like lovely.

These bonbons in the bottle can be purchased at BeautyHabitAsos, Beauty Bay, and Bergdorf Goodman (In-Store). Do grab a bottle or two before it’s gone again.

Exactly! I hate to use it and putting it on the vanity makes things look brighter. The colors are so candy like bonbon.
