Over the course of 2012, I remembered having gone to the Merry Go Round quite a bit. It wasn’t for me, rather my daughter. She loved riding the horse up and down with the joyfully live music in the background. Seeing the smile on her face is quite priceless. Maybe some years later she’ll be hopping on a real pony.
If you were wondering what the Merry Go Round was about, it is actually a daily photo shoot from a few days ago which you can see here. It will also be what I will be showing you today as well from Paul & Joe’s Spring 2013 Collection.
There is a total of 3 different Eye Color CS and I will be showing you 083. The name of the color is Montmartre which is described to have mesmerizing color tones of nature adding drama and definition to the eyes. If you haven’t seen the press yet check it out here.
This particular eye color actually reminds me a lot of the Spring 2012 Collection from earlier this year. Granted this collection probably only included two or three cat designed makeup items, it is still something many people would love. Cat lovers such as Sunny and joining the cat club Xiao would love anything related to the cute fur balls.
Here are a few shots of the packaging. Feast your eyes to the cute little kittens surrounding the box. Paul & Joe, master of details, also has the sides match up wonderfully!
Before your imagination goes wild and runs aloof, you are seeing a sponge instead of a spoon. Underneath everything is eye color and not ice cream made from pistachio avocado, and even olive oil. Sorry, I had to mention it because that was what hubs saw when he was making homemade ice cream.
The eye colors are very similar to the outside case. They are most resembled with grassy greens with an earthy tone. The horse obviously is a light ivory white which will wear off upon application.
I must say that the colors are light and reminds me somewhat jungle theme. Colors aren’t super pigmented but rather softer in a sense that Spring is all about the beauty of softness and softer colors. I bet when it becomes Summer, colors will become more bronzy and pigmented. But until then, let’s enjoy the softer shades.
So talking about the green themed makeup, let’s find some matching fashion pieces, shall we?
The gold and green go perfectly here with the Kate Spade “locked in” stud hinged bangle. The pyramid shaped closure is super neat too. I love the way it angles.
I have yet to try some Tom’s Chukka Boots but I heard their Slip-ons are super comfy. Anyone had them?
What’s a green without these granny smith colored “big apple – arrow” mittens form Kate Spade?
Aside from getting all the love of kittens around the box, I wish there was some paw like design from last year. Though, the merry go around theme is a fresh and fun idea for the spring season! The colors from this eyeshadow duo are soft spoken which only reminds us that the new year has just begun.
