RMK Spring Modern Eyes 04 Rosy Purple Swatch and Review
Purple is one of my favorite colors because it’s the symbol of magic, royalty and mystery. And pink is always associated with innocence, romance and love. Nothing gets more feminine than pairing purple with pink. Today we have a perfect combination of purple and pink in an eye palette, RMK Spring Modern Eyes 04 Rosy Purple.
The outside packaging is a simple silver cardboard box with “Open up Choose me Take me” written in different sizes.
04 Rosy Purple, weighs 3.9g in total.
The package is a lightweight silver compact. RMK is the name initials of the brand designer, RuMiKo. In Japanese eyeshadow palette releases, there’re usually 5 variations in a season. Normally the variations will include beige, pink, blue, green, purple, orange, etc, or some of the combinations of those colors.
This is how the palette looks like when opened.
Here is a close up picture of the palette. We have a lighter version pink for all over base, pink and purple for the main color and a chocolate brown for shade and liner. These colors can be totally mixed and matched. You don’t really need to use all 4 shades but the possibilities are there.
This shot is with direct sunlight.
This picture is with camera flash. The shadows are high sparkly yet they don’t look gritty.
What we have here is the swatch of the palette. As you can see the most pigmented is brown whereas the other colors are very feminine. Each color also holds different degrees of shimmers that brighten up with light. Coverage is sheer to medium but build-able. It’s very reasonable for a spring palette. The texture is very smooth and soft.
So after I applied it on my eye I found that the application was very easy where the colors are coordinating giving a nice softer princess look. I was using a similar technique appeared on the campaign by dabbing pink shade on the tear duct area.
The palette although from its Spring 2010 collection, gives a really nice appeal for all seasons. Each color can almost seem like different flowers, for example purple for summer lilac, pink for winter rose and brown can be the stems of the flowers. Together you have a full bloom. Having these flowers around your eyes really bring out the soft and feminine side of the lady who’s wearing it.

Purples and pinks are some of my favorite colours for the eyes!
Love the purple shade on your lids.
These 2 colors do look great on eyes, especially purple. I have a lot of different shades of purple and they all work for me. And thanks for the comment.

The design of the palette is so pretty, like every Japanese makeup. I’m really jealous.
Japanese palettes are really nice because of the design and workmanship.
