Rouge Dior Nude Lip Blush Lipcolor Trompe L’Oeil, Grege, Swan, Charnelle, Twill, Esquisse, Dior Contour Nude Lipliner Universel Swatches and Review
This fall, the beauty stage belongs to Dior. So many new releases are coming out and we barely even touch into fall yet. A few weeks back we started seeing Dior’s Fall 2012 Collection. Then for Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale, Purple Revolution and Les Violets pops in. The fabulous Backstage Brushes for the Nude Foundation and Dior Vernis Nude collection are also going to be launched later this fall. So exciting!
If you saw yesterday’s teaser photo, you would know what was coming up. The Rouge Dior Nude Lipcolors to cooridate the Dior Vernis Nude and the Contour Nude Lipliner are what we’ll be showing today.
The new Rouge Dior Nude Lipcolor collection features 6 shades:
- Trompe L’oeil #123
- Grège #169
- Indiscrete #228
- Swan #263
- Trench #319
- Charnelle #459
- Twill #618
- Esquisse #683
Each Rouge Dior Nude lipstick features the classic iconic Dior cannage design in royal navy blue. “Lipstick as the new blush,” is a newly formulated concept for this collection. What does it mean? It simply means that the semi-sheer lipcolor contains rich balm care formula, creating a warm, radiant “blush” effect on the lips. The lipcolor shares the same natural pigments as the Nude foundation. Each lipstick brings hydrating and replumping.
In the ad campaign, Natalie Portman wears #169 Grege, a shade specially created for Natalie’s partnership with the children’s charity, Free The Children. All proceeds from the color Grege will go towards FTC supporting secondary education for girls in Kenya.
The lipstick looks extremely smooth and flawless from every angle. Here are 2 shots of the the featured color Grege that Natalie Portman wears.
Out of the 8 shades, we will be showcasing 6 today:
#123 Trompe L’oeil – milky peach nude
#169 Grege – rosy beige nude
#263 Swan – innocent pink nude
#459 Charnelle – rosywood pink nude
#618 Twill – beige brown nude with a hint of mauve
#683 Esquisse – berry nude
The lipsticks are swatched as shown below with natural indoor lighting on top and direct sunlight on the bottom. Each color provides a semi-sheer luminous finish with vibrant color pigmentation. The formula of the lipstick is creamy and emollient, ultra hydrating on the lips with instant lip plumping effect. It glides on the lips effortless like butter and wears comfortably like a treatment balm, at the same time long lasting. Even hours later, the color looks as fresh as it was just applied.
Instead of many nude lipcolors being really pale and lifeless, the Dior Nude lipcolors are more radiant and complexion enhancing. Color ranges from light beige all the way up to rosewood and brown.
Last but not least, we have the Dior Contour Nude Lipliner. There is only one shade available and that is Universel (001 Nude). The lipliner comes with a sharpener as well as a brush on one side and actual liner on the other.
Here is a shot of the color end of the lipliner. It’s the perfect partner to the new Rouge Dior Nude lipcolor as it provides a transparent base to redefine the lips and prolong the lipstick wear time. As smooth as it can be there is no smudging at all.
The entire lipcolor collection features so many nude lip colors that are fantastic for everyday use. They are classy and elegant, modern yet feminine. The newly formulated “blush” effect brings us the best of both worlds of lipstick and lip balm. As we enjoy the natural glowy lipcolor, our lips are nourished and protected. And the lipliner is really smooth and long lasting because of the non-smudging feature. It is also very precise when drawing. The built-in lip brush design is a bonus feature for an even flawless lipcolor application.
