Sedu Revolution Nano Tourmaline Ionic Styling Iron Review

Looking for the perfect styling iron can be tedious because we want one that’s easy to use and not damaging our hair. Some irons don’t get hot enough so we end up going through the same area over and over again. And other other irons get so hot that even burn out fingers, not to talk about our hair. In our brain we just think, “No Me Gusta!”

This is where Sedu’s Revolution Nano Tourmaline Ionic Styling Iron comes into play. Enter iron!

Sedu’s Revolution Nano Tourmaline Ionic Styling Iron comes in 2 colors, black and pink. Both are available online at for $159.99. Shipping is free on orders $50.00 or more!

Sedu’s exterior box is a cool piano black designed look that provides the luxurious look after seeing it with only a glance. Do note that, Sedu’s iron is virtually maintenance free. That means there is no lubrication required but do keep the heating plates clean from dust, dirt, and hair spray.

After opening the box up, you can find your iron seated snugly inside ready to use.

The control panel is simple with a one button on/off switch and a temperature adjustment dial next to it. The temperature goes from 170 F all the way up to 450 F.

Keep in mind of these temperature settings from the booklet:

Normal hair is at 390 F
Coarse, thick, ethnic, and/or resistant hair 450 F
Bleached,fragile, damaged, and/or fine hair 300-390 F

When you power on, the LED light becomes red meaning it is heating up whereas the blue/red blinking means ready to use. And if it is blue then the iron is cooling down.

One of the unique things about this iron is that the ends are anti-slip so hair is less likely to slip off of the plates causing snags and damages. The heating plates are also called Nano Tourmaline Ionic Curved Plate System. If you are wondering what all that MUMBOJUMBO is about, it means that the ceramic plates are tourmaline negative ion infused and they are curved. See the second picture below. It gives you the power to style in a variety of multi uses such as straight, wavy, curls, and flips. How cool is that?!

I have noticed this iron has ultra smooth ceramic plates that I don’t see very often. It’s so smooth that with one finger you can swipe across with virtually free of friction.

Here is a little spec information about this iron. Note the voltage is 120V so be careful when you travel overseas. Make sure the voltage is right because you plug it in.

After using it for a little over 2 weeks, I found that not only does it heat up fast, this iron also made my styling a whole lot faster due to its versatility. I set the temperature at 400 F to style and what I found styling was straight locks without the frizz. I did find the iron to a be a tad on the heavier side, but that could be due to my recent weight loss. Anyways, with quickness of heat, versatility, and ease of control what more can you ask for in an iron?

I received this product for free as a part of the Folica Review Program but the views and opinions are that of my own. For more information, please read my full disclosure here.

The cost of this iron isn’t that expensive compared to some of the other multi use ones. I might have to poke my bf to buy this for me.

Irons have been so well developed these days that they are all about being versatile. I remember having to buy a curler, iron, and more to capture different looks. Now 1 fits all.

The versatile ones are always good for on the go especially having one iron doing it all instead of 3 or even 4 separate ones.
