Shiseido Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream Review

Having firmer skin and preventing lines are very important for a healthy youthful appearance. Without healthy looking skin, you might look older than you really are, that even putting on makeup seems like a disaster. Luckily, there are skin care products that are so advanced that they can protect us from having these problems.

Shiseido’s Bio-Performance line has an Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream that can help us look our best!

The cream comes in 75 ml / 2.6 oz for $95.00 and can be purchased at The recommended replenishment cycle for this version is 3 months. There is also a smaller sized 50 ml version that will last approximately 2 months.

There are two key ingredients that made this cream so special, Bio-Revitalizing Complex for improving skin elasticity and texture and Super Bio-Hyaluronic Acid for intensely hydrating skin, both are Shiseido’s exclusive. The cream comes in a spatula that can be used to scoop out product without digging your finger into the jar. What you want to do is apply it morning and evening after cleansing and applying lotion.

The texture of the cream is very rich and creamy, like a European style whipped cream cheese. There is a subtle floral scent that is quite pleasant.

All you need is a dab of it for the whole face because a little bit goes a long way. The included spatula can help pick up the right amount.

Although the cream is very rich, it spreads like no other. You just pad it along the contour of your face and smooth it out. The cream absorbs nicely and leaves a thin film on the skin to lock in moisture. It’s supple and pretty light weight.

While I appreciate the unique shape of the jar, I find it a tad bulky for my already cramped vanity table. Then I discovered this little trick when I was reading the instruction booklet. If you turn the jar upside down with the bottom facing up peel off the sticker and you will see something.

There is a long slit that fits the shape of a coin. You just insert it and twist.

Voila! The bottom comes off entirely. You do need to take off the cap first before you can remove the bottom and the outer packaging.

The actual jar revealed. It’s a much smaller footprint glass jar that can be sit on top of the bottom. The jar fits even more comfortably in the palm of my hand, it’s like a hidden treasure. So I just decide to store my cream this way.

Shiseido’s Bio-Performance brings a lot of richness and hydration to the table with this cream. I usually have flaky skin during this time of the year due to dry climate and heater. But this year I haven’t experience any flakiness yet, because I’ve been using this cream as my night cream for a while. Though I may start to use it during the day as well once my current day moisturizer runs out. I can really see my skin pumped up when I wake up in the morning. It’s well hydrated but not greasy, feeling soft and elastic. Some of the fine lines around my under eye area are also starting to fade out. It makes my putting on makeup much better because I don’t see much creasing there anymore. I wish I discovered this cream earlier. For the ones with combination/oilier skin, this cream is perfect for winter time. But you may find it a bit rich during summer months. For drier skin, this cream should be great all year round.

3 months for $95 isn’t too bad. I’ll remember to put this in my shopping cart next time I order from Sephora.

It is pretty cost effective. Your looking at tops $400 a year and when there is 20% off coupons for FF and stuff it brings the cost even lower!

Is it for real you only need such a tiny amount for the whole face? I’m a little tempted.

Yes, a little goes a long way.

Seems like a very rich cream. Does it work for oily skin?

I have a very sensitive skin, everything I tried broke me out. I got a sample of this cream a couple weeks ago and it was really amazing. It kept my skin hydrated but not breaking me out. So I ended up getting the 75ml bottle.

I only used Shiseido the skincare line before. Bio performance seems like an update for older people, maybe my mom can use it.
